The next League animation should just be Samurai Jack but with Ryze searching for the runes instead. That way they can show every region and showcase some interesting conflicts with nuanced takes while Ryze is the outsider acting as a vehicle for the viewer(even though the writers would never be able to do that)

Season finale is Ryze vs Brand(who shought the runes in parallel) and Ryze is helped by the people he befriended(Miss Fortunes suffocates Brand)

I'm watching both in parallel
S1 actually has a lot of conveniences and forced misunderstandings. Arc 1 is the best by far because it's the most grounded.
S2 has a lot of padding and a less creative storyboard, but more crazy ideas and a greater variety of visuals.
they already confirmed that the series was planned as one season with the same ending as S2, and in hindsight you can tell some of the writing devices of S1 were already there to gain time. the quality of the storyboard gave meaning to minute details the writers never intended.
overall i think they should have kept their original story plan (including the final battle) but on only 10 or 12 episodes instead of 18.

only Arc 1 is tightly connected. Jinx basically does nothing but being a schizo in her lair and designing hextech off screen for most of Arc 2 and 3, except for the three times where she's allowed to meet Vi, and the first two times Vi is conveniently nicked away. that's at least one time too much.
in S2, again Arc 1 has a tight story of finding Jinx, and then the story is again dragged, but Warwick has the exact same role as Caitlyn in S1: forcing the sisters to meet again after a pause in the story, and this time they stay together and talk the whole time. even Vi and Caitlyn are separated only once. the only actual drag are the two AU episodes and that fourth episode which takes forever to introduce the new stakes after the timeskip with less brilliance than the fourth episode of S1 which had the same role.

yes but the real character behind is Singed, whose motivation is revealed (he had zero agenda in S1 except serving Silco). Singed did not expect to bring the sisters reunion, but he did so because of events caused by Isha, just like Caitlyn did not release Vi to let her find Powder, but did so because of events caused by Jinx. this is basically the start of the story, events are always bootstarted by coincidences, motivation comes later.
