Joe Rogan is not a great comedian by any means but his comedy is not nearly as terrible as grifters say. Even if Burn the Boats wasn't your thing, the special itself at worst is painfully mediocre and is also not a reflection of his older specials which are generally well liked and do feature bits that would at least make a doubter chuckle from time to time. Even I have seen videos on youtube of camcorder footage of him doing raw stand-up from like the year 2000 and it's genuinely not that bad.
