Yes, there are some like that in C-drama's. Not as bad as Korea or Japan but it's there unfortunately. Chinese triangles are usually very immature. The FL acts like a brat and uses another guy to get the ML jealous. Korean's and Japs do triangles in a nasty and petty way. They'll actually be into the SML or they'll threaten to be with the SML completely without any thought to the ML or the relationship they've built up since episode 1. Chinese FL's usually never feel anything romantic for the SML and just see them as an admirable senior or friend. But they will use them as a weapon against the ML who they truly love. They have recently written less and less romantic dramas like that so that's a positive. It used to be really bad a few years back. In fact I couldn't stand Zhao Luisi because she was always a FL in stories like that. After Hidden Love, she's started to pick more mature roles without having "must be fought over by 2 men" in her contract seemingly.

Wouldn't go that far but it used to exist in nearly all their rom-coms. Like I said, their triangles are immature and eye rolling. Like some shows a few years back the SML used to move in with the lead couple to get in-between them and they just let him. Then other SML's would follow the FL overseas if she had to study in another country and rent the place next door. While the ML was still in China. But the FL's usually treat them as a joke and never cross any lines. Can't say the same for Korean's where they sometimes kiss, hug or hold hands with the SML. It has been a while since there's been a show like that. The last ones I can remember were "The love you give me" and "Only for love". Feels like a 13 year old girl writes them. Childish triangles and leads. Korean's go for the smut stuff way more. More real and degenerate.
