Why did wrestling fans become such fags? The same people that grew up watching Eddie Guerrero, a thieving scheming Latino who hits on all the ladies; Iron Shiek, an Arab who wants all infadels and Americans killed; and Stone Cold, a blue collar white trash guy who drank beer and didn't give a fuck. They somehow grew up to be faggots who love foreigners more than their own countrymen and think children should be able to chop off their healthy body parts and change their gender.

It would have been a better gimmick if he didn't just do all the hulkster stuff. I know, it's for kids. I know, it's part of the joke. I get it. But if he just showed up, did original offense and moves and the

People who matured can separate real life from fiction.

I remember going to Raw in 2006 and the crowd around me shouting "EE CEE DUB EE CEE DUB" for a wrestler and this one 30 year old sperg with a replica belt screaming "YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT MEANS" at the people around him

Wrestling was always gay entertainment for children.

2. Rock and Austin retired, Triple H became a main eventer on the flag ship show and by holding down other more popular wrestlers with charisma that he couldn't compete with, it drove away the audience and their goodwill build up since the 80s and 90s in droves.
3. UFC debuts in '93 and takes nearly a decade before it penetrated the mainstream in the early 2000s. Shane McMahon actually wanted to buy both UFC and PRIDE at one point, but Vince nixed the idea. With the death of Eddie Guerrero and Chis Benoit'ing his whole family, the shift from crass and edgy television shifted over night to family friendly entertainment. The public image of the company had been damaged and it needed to be repaired by going in the opposite direction of being a Saturday morning cartoon, which ultimately is what Vince wanted with his company from the beginning anyway since there was no longer external pressure from World Champion Wrestling or ECW anymore. Wrestling bottomed out of favour hard around that time in popularity. Same thing happened in Japan.
4. With the public awareness of the dangers of concussions in most sports like NFL and NHL, the awareness of damage to the brain became more prevalent and as a result, the style of wrestling evolved from ass kicking brawls to anime battle sissyboy flippyshit faggotry blending both Japanese and Mexican high flying acrobatics. The first most telltale sign of this occurring was at Best of the Super Juniors XXIII between Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet. You have to find the full match to understand it, but this was the turning point between pro wrestling to flipply shittery at the height of Marvelization of media.

5. With UFC now as an option and taking the 18-35 male demographic with it, all the 6'8 alpha males began wanting to be cage fighters instead of getting ass raped or carnied in wrestling and they took the audience with them.

Did they ever figure out who did it?

6. Some of the best wrestlers never wanted to become wrestlers and a lot of the more popular ones fell into the business because of it being an easy way to make money. A lot of them came from all walks of life (Goldberg played for the Atlanta Falcons before getting hurt, Chyna was in the Peace Corps, Road Dogg was a marine platoon sergeant in Desert Storm, Ken Shamrock was in UFC, D'Lo was a certified public accountant, The Rock's family was in wrestling but he started in the Canadian Footbal League) and a lot fell into the industry as opposed to bring fans since childhood because it was easy money.
7. The old saying of 'I liked wrestling better when the marks were in the front row' rings truer now more than ever. With the death of kayfabe and the public now knowing more than ever the ins and outs of the industry, the gatekeeping went away. You had to have a look, you had to be legitimately tough and you had to keep up appearances of what a wrestler ought to look Iike and be perceived. Anyone in public who sleighted the business or called them fake or phoney resulted in them beating their asses, or getting involved in public fights and scuffles and having pressure be on you to win to keep up appearances. Now wrestlers whine online about fans approaching them in public.
8. Wrestling in the 80s and 90s were a bunch of coked up alcoholic pill popping retards beating the shit out of each other. Now they play videogames. The benefit being is that they aren't likely going to die in their 40s by the dozen much anymore, but as a result of the style change and the demand for increasing wrecklessness, modern wrestlers bodies are more and more damaged and worn out and sawdusted from all the dives and spinal rearranging moves they do. And even the most basic things are damaging long term. Bret Hart mentioned all of the hyper extended elbows he suffered from years of simple Irish whips.

10. When the territory system, the loose handshake agreement paid everyone in cash confederacy of independent promotions linked around the country and world faded into irrelevancy, went out of business and went away, the training ground went away. The different markets and tastes of wrestling throughout the country provided ample ground for wrestlers to develop characters and styles long before they ever debut on mainstream outlets. Vince's national expansion in 80s steamrolled all of them because of his New York base being able to have the biggest reach around the world and he did so by disregarding these little fiefdoms that long did not encroach on each others territories because it was how everyone made money. He enticed many main event attractions and stars up to his company simply because of the reach of the product and amount of money they were making. Back in the embryonic days, cable television wasn't a factor. If you didn't have syndication in the various networks across the country, you had nothing. Vince's product reached every home that he could and he expanded this aggressively, particularly when prime time wrestling became a thing.
10. With this happening, a stronghold for its own style of wrasslin' in the south happened out of Atlanta as Ted Turner owned a fledgling WTBS-Superstation that was trying to get off its feet and World Championship Wrestling was what helped it do just that. The consistently cheap program to produce live content in the form of live sports for advertisers is what any TV network wants to this day and wrestling provides that. In the midst of his national expansion, Vince enticed The Briscoe Brothers to sell their shares of Georgia Championship Wrestling behind Dutch Mantell's back and as a result, took their television spot and began broadcasting WWF wrestling from New York as opposed to Southern wrestling that they were used to and this caused outrage on a huge scale that kick-started The Monday Night War

11. At the tail end of the war between these two national promotions with a third one from the northeast involved in the mix as well all going head to head at the end of the 90s and early 2000s, there was no longer any competitive drive to improve or demand eyeballs because when you're now the only game in town, there's no where further up for you to go and as a result, WWE became complacent.
12 or 13 or whatever number we're on. The fans themselves changed. As mentioned earlier, gone were the frat bro's who wanted to see hot sexy chicks, ass kicking, take no names violence, and masculine larger than life characters with toilet humour and vulgarity and it was replaced by Disney adults, neck beards and ugly overweight autists like David Bixenspan shitting their pants at Indy shows and trying to pull fire alarms to deflect attention away from them. Seriously, they have started selling bathroom soaps and body washes at shows because wrestling fans leave shit streak asscrack imprints on their fucking audience seats, not to mention not bathing prior to arriving. Its fucking embarrassing and cringe but this is the remnants of the majority of the audience these days.
13. Women began getting more and more acceptance and involvement now with the death of kayfabe. Women who can't wrestle, have no weight to even break tables in half, no ability to sell moves without botching repeatedly, were thrown in to the spotlight and emphasized upon once Stephane McMahon began exerting influence. Gone were the days of pillow fights, bikini and wet t-shirt contests, mud wrestling and crowd-pleasing titilation from lingerie/fitness model level hotties. Now we have mannish looking frumpy bitches bumping in the ring convincing no one of substance and intellect they can wholeheartedly do what they are doing.
>>
>>219625466
14. The whole 'Women's Revolution' thing was all for naught in the end anyway because after an attempt to make women's wrestling be taken more seriously, it only resulted in women wrestlers dressing like whores showing their asscheeks as much as possible on their own accord and no boost in the ratings happens at all with this whatsoever.

Yeah, watching oiled up muscle men in spandex grappling and slapping each other across the tits is the last true bastion of American "masculinity".
