The first episode was brutal. It just drags on and on. Every scene you're just waiting to be over so the next scene can happen so eventually the show will end.
Hal is now an emotional woman. The cut aways are unfunny, the regular dialogue is unfunny and bland. There's no energy in it. The lighting is sanitized and has that nu-show look. The only positive is Malcolm's daughter. Who actually does an alright job doing a young Malcolm impression. Other than that it's just a soulless revival cash grab.

I checked out a few mins into the second episode due to the boredom and they introduce Stevie, who's now a stereotypical homosexual on steroids with a flamboyant husband and an adopted (probably a surrogate) mixed race black amerimutt child.

I'll only continue watching for Malcolm's daughter. Overall the show is a solid 3/10. Could be worse I guess. The Stevie thing is straight out of a /pol/tards joke about jewish Hollywood shows it's just so stupidly progressive.

Frankie was great and Malcolm felt like a natural evolution of the character. He's still neurotic and a bit dysfunctional but he also has matured, he has some social intelligence that he was lacking as a teenager.
