It's literally his worst fucking movie. Nick Cage's performance is so fucking cringe. That scene at the beginning where he beats the black guy to death. Go watch Cage's expression leading up to the beating when the black guy is talking shit and Cage starts breathing heavy. He's so fucking hammy and over-the-top even by Lynch standards that I had to turn the movie off and come back to it later because the cringe was just too overwhelming. The rest of the movie is him doing 40 awkward sex scenes and the most embarrassing Elvis impersonation I ever heard which has no business being in the fucking movie. I hate this pile of shit. It's fucking lame. Every movie he's made up until that point was good. Even Fire Walk with Me is underrated. Wild At Heart is terrible and so is Lynch's later stuff except Straight Story. Nick Cage has always been a fucking shit actor who needs people to reign his autistic silent movie actor mannerisms or else you end up with a fucking cartoon character like what you see in Wild At Heart. I hate that motherfucker. Him and Keanu Reeves somehow having a career boggles my fucking mind.
