>>
>>219712929
It’s a shame. There’s aspects of it that I kind of liked, but the second half of the season fucking killed the whole thing for me.
>>
>>219713036
Unironically, Superman (2025). Mainly for Punk Rocker.
>>
>>219712929
It had it, it just stopped having any more after it ended
>>
what does 'cultural impact' mean other than people talk about it? is a tv show culturally impactful if there are holloween costumes badeon it? how did culture change in anyway?
>>
>>219713036
Your Friends & Neighbors for that meme clip of Jon Hamm in a night club.
>>
>>219713036
Blade Runner 2049
>>
>>219712929
If they revealed the show would be rebooted it would instantly launch back into the cultural zeitgeist. Ive never seen anything like it before, not even with Avatar. While the show is actively airing it has mountains of hype and discussion akin to the peak of Star Wars and then the second its over it just instantly disappears. Each season was like this. Its..Strange..

You obviously weren't on /tv/ during that time nor did you leave the house so why did you think this was a point of view worth sharing
>>
>>219712929
Define "cultural impact" and more importantly, explain why you care about it.

Come on dude it's not that deep, Stranger Things have happened.
>>
I honestly thought it ended like 4 times since 2020.
>>
>>219713108
I've quite literally never heard anyone mention this movie besides one guy at the office obsessed with superheros who gave it a "Yeah it was pretty good".
>>
>>219720925
Then you had gay sex with him, didn't you?

N-N-No.

>what does 'cultural impact' mean other than people talk about it? is a tv show culturally impactful if there are holloween costumes badeon it? how did culture change in anyway?
Something has cultural impact if people who have not seen the show can identify characters and concepts it introduced. ST did have cultural impact because the average person on the street can identify things like Eleven, Vecna and the Upside Down. We'll see how many of those things are still being referenced in 10 years.

I hate that this is correct.

Millie Bobby Brown dying of a coke overdose will bring things back to the spotlight for a bit, remember this post.

>>219712929
We've reached a point in which even if your ending isn't complete fucking shit but merely bad, it still erases everything you did before from the timeline. We can thank game of thrones and attack on titan for it I guess.
Ideally, however, maybe you should try making a good ending if you want your shit to remain in public discourse for a long time
>>
>>219712929
It had massive cultural impact dumbass. Everyone and their fucking mothers were singing that Kate Bush song back in 2022 because of this series.

That song is still fucking played too much I've heard it twice in the past week, once while just out in the mall and the other time it was playing over the radio while I was driving.

>>
>>219712929
Early seasons had cultural impact. The issue is the final season was so bad it had negative impact so it all evened out.

Stranger Things season 1

>he doesn't remember the slew of movies and shows that blatantly aped this show's style
NOW it doesn't have any cultural impact, but it absolutely did years ago.
>>

You hate to see it. ....s.m.h
>>
>>219720488

>>
people are so fucking bored with 80s nostalgia, we have been trapped in a time loop of 80s nostalgia since the 90s ended

when are we going to get movies and tv based on grunge, nu metal, boy and girl bands of the 90s

wheres my musical based on 2000s emo kids vs the jocks
>>
Zero is stretching it. However, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it after season 1.
>>
>>219728687
>when are we going to get movies and tv based on grunge, nu metal, boy and girl bands of the 90s

>wheres my musical based on 2000s emo kids vs the jocks

The 90s and 2000s don't feel as distant as the 80s yet
>>
>>219729034
90s was 30 years ago, the whole end of history slacker gen x thing is def distant compared to gen z or even millinieal culture
