ZERO. CULTURAL. IMPACT
tell me the last thing that HAD cultural impact.what was it... maybe breaking bad?
>>219713036Avatar.
>>219712929nell fischer had a Black love interest
>>219712929It’s a shame. There’s aspects of it that I kind of liked, but the second half of the season fucking killed the whole thing for me.
>>219713036Unironically, Superman (2025). Mainly for Punk Rocker.
>>219712929It had it, it just stopped having any more after it ended
what does 'cultural impact' mean other than people talk about it? is a tv show culturally impactful if there are holloween costumes badeon it? how did culture change in anyway?
>>219713036Your Friends & Neighbors for that meme clip of Jon Hamm in a night club.
>>219713036Blade Runner 2049
>>219712929If they revealed the show would be rebooted it would instantly launch back into the cultural zeitgeist. Ive never seen anything like it before, not even with Avatar. While the show is actively airing it has mountains of hype and discussion akin to the peak of Star Wars and then the second its over it just instantly disappears. Each season was like this. Its..Strange..

>>219713108

>>219715624You obviously weren't on /tv/ during that time nor did you leave the house so why did you think this was a point of view worth sharing
>>219712929Define "cultural impact" and more importantly, explain why you care about it.
>>219713036Kpop Demon Hunters.
>>219713036Avengers Endgame
>>2197130369/11
>>219713980Come on dude it's not that deep, Stranger Things have happened.
I honestly thought it ended like 4 times since 2020.
>>219713108I've quite literally never heard anyone mention this movie besides one guy at the office obsessed with superheros who gave it a "Yeah it was pretty good".
>>219720925Then you had gay sex with him, didn't you?
>>219720971N-N-No.
>>219713133>what does 'cultural impact' mean other than people talk about it? is a tv show culturally impactful if there are holloween costumes badeon it? how did culture change in anyway?Something has cultural impact if people who have not seen the show can identify characters and concepts it introduced. ST did have cultural impact because the average person on the street can identify things like Eleven, Vecna and the Upside Down. We'll see how many of those things are still being referenced in 10 years.
>>219720488I hate that this is correct.
>>219721087Millie Bobby Brown dying of a coke overdose will bring things back to the spotlight for a bit, remember this post.
>>219712929I dunno, people making lots of memes about Will's coming out scene sounds like cultural impact to me.
It's too druish.
>>219713036Game of Thrones>>219713055Wrong>>219713108Wrong
>>219712929We've reached a point in which even if your ending isn't complete fucking shit but merely bad, it still erases everything you did before from the timeline. We can thank game of thrones and attack on titan for it I guess.Ideally, however, maybe you should try making a good ending if you want your shit to remain in public discourse for a long time
>>219712929It had massive cultural impact dumbass. Everyone and their fucking mothers were singing that Kate Bush song back in 2022 because of this series.
>>219713036The last two Avengers movies
>the Gentleminions have been forgotten
>>219722389The one time zoomers were based.
>>219712929I still see people wearing hellfire merch. For a modern show that's impressive.
>>219713036kpop demon hunter, somehow my 4 year old niece-cousin is obsessed with it
>>219722015That song is still fucking played too much I've heard it twice in the past week, once while just out in the mall and the other time it was playing over the radio while I was driving.
>>219713036Barbenheimer
>>219712929Early seasons had cultural impact. The issue is the final season was so bad it had negative impact so it all evened out.
>>219713036Stranger Things season 1
>>219712929>he doesn't remember the slew of movies and shows that blatantly aped this show's styleNOW it doesn't have any cultural impact, but it absolutely did years ago.
>>219719556You hate to see it. ....s.m.h
>>219720488this is true
people are so fucking bored with 80s nostalgia, we have been trapped in a time loop of 80s nostalgia since the 90s endedwhen are we going to get movies and tv based on grunge, nu metal, boy and girl bands of the 90swheres my musical based on 2000s emo kids vs the jocks
Zero is stretching it. However, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it after season 1.
