He's not great but Deadwood is one of the best show's of all time and Justified was okay. When you see him its nice but that's about it.

He's a decent actor, but he's brutally mogged by Ian McShane in Deadwood. The show starts out like a classic Western, with the new sheriff (Olyphant) coming to town to put all wrongs to right, but then Swearengen takes over and it becomes his story. The Olyphant scenes are boring by comparison.

Justified strength is in Goggins, the misc Kentucky gangster families, and Olyphant playing wild west ranger but in modern day, I don't need to tell you since you got to S4 but It gets good end of S1 and S2 is possibly its strongest arc
