The villain seems great but has a super shit “sike! Subverted!” ending, and then every other villain hereafter is worse than him. S1 also has some phenomenal animation moments, but iirc they had to change studios and the next seasons end up with some really poor quality stills here and there. From then on in the next seasons, just consider any character development earned from the previous season ( Korra trying to learn to be more patient and less hotheaded) to be dumped at the beginning of each season, and most of the side characters are ok but none as compelling as the gaang. Occasional touching moments, most just pretty mediocre.The last season makes up for it a bit, but compared to aang’s 3rd season, it just never ever goes as hard. Plus, let’s not forget all the fucking lore retconning which STILL to this day makes me mad. Overall there are small great pebbles (Korra Alone is superb episode for instance), in a big bowl of shit. I’d give it a 4/10, it’ll make you miss the high quality that aang’s 3rd season managed to reach more than anything. I honestly think it’s skippable and there is better TV out there.
