The true story of these guys going crazy and starving and disappearing isn’t good enough. So let’s add a manbearpig.

Tuunbaq was this show’s least offensive departure from realism.
>Crozier… was… from Ireland?
>He must have really been an outsider, a Catholic of Gaelic descent serving in a Protestant Englishman’s navy
>Let’s get an Irish actor to play him
>Let’s have him discuss his disdain for the established Protestant church with his love interest
Meanwhile, the actual Crozier was a member of the Church of Ireland from a well-to-do Ulster family. Here’s the statue of him in his hometown.

I have this monster thing.
Really lessens the Terror.
So unneeded.

the music when that guy snaps, and at the very end was some of the best artistic direction I've seen in pretty much any movie or TV show.

Every Terror thread I see I will make mention that in the book an English officer has a throbbing hard on from the TUBACA "kissing" Lady Silence and using her body like a bagpipe.
It also has a scene where a bunch of platypuses observe a banging between the British Lane and Julias Cesar's niece.

Pretty good read all things considered.

The design isn't great, but it's still pretty cool. The Tuunbaq is responsible for a lot of the show's plot. You aren't getting the same kino if the bear isn't around. Sir John getting killed doesn't happen without it. Mr. Blanky's kino sacrifice doesn't happen. Hickey doesn't go totally nuts. No Lady Silence either. Just accept the kinoness of Tuunbaq already.
>>
>Well Mr. Tuunbaq, quiet now. I've been inside you. Not so much there as you think.
