What did everyone think of the finale? While it was a short season with only three episodes, it's more like a 3-part finale. Not gonna lie, I cried a bit. It was a beautiful ending. SENPAI is one of the best shows I have ever seen. Can't wait to rewatch it all in a year or two.
For me this show never revolved solely around Kinoman, so I'm gonna keep watching. There are 17 episodes remaining, 25 episodes if you count Star City, and probably quite a bit of good in them which you're gonna miss out on
Something I hope they address>writers previously said the point of divergence between the show's timeline and ours was Sergei Korolev surviving rather than dying in surgery in 1966>flashback scene has Ed and Gordo as the crew of Gemini 7, in 1965 >if Ed and Gordo took the place of the real Gemini 7 astronauts, Frank Borman and Jim Lovell, that would mean the timeline actually diverged before Korolev's surgery It would have to be an error, or a retcon, or perhaps Ed imagined being on that mission and the scene didn't actually happen, kinda like how Rose's "Titanic Heaven" scene wasn't real
>>219756563I see where the show is going. I hate Almeida or whatever that Mexican bitch is called, and she's gonna be the focus. I don't care about the lesbian woman cop. I don't care about Alex and that girl's romance. I don't care about Dev, or Ed's daughter, or any of that stuff. It was nice of the showrunners to give us an ending and a signal that the show is gonna switch gears. We were warned and anyone who keeps watching isn't allowed to complain.
>>219757074>and she's gonna be the focusI've seen no evidence that they're gonna pivot to Aleida being the lead. She will continue to have a supporting role. It's still gonna revolve around the Baldwin family, so probably Alex is the main character on Mars and Kelly is the main character on Titan
>>219755903Pure propaganda slop. Not worth redeeming.
>>219756991Ed and Gordo weren't on the real Apollo 10 either
>>219755903It's a show for women like all modern tv shows
>>219757729That was after Korolev's surgery, so the divergence is accounted for.
>>219757828Sort of, but not really, astronauts don't just pop into existence
>>2197579523 years is long enough for a couple of Air Force pilots, who we otherwise might not have heard of, to be selected as astronauts
>>219755903Ed Baldwin didn’t die. He ascended.
>>219755903This is the most boring, uninspired season of them all, which is something. It feels like an actual soap opera in space. Hopefully, Aleida and her incongruous, forced profanity will crash her old ass ship and take out the commie collective and the alpaca zoomer in one go. The midge-lez copper getting mushroom stamped was pretty funny but this just delays her inevitable, cunning discovery of the real killer in order to put her dumb, male superiors in their rightful, apologetic place. As for Cargo Chang & the Illegals, Dev the Wise, and the rest, I'm sure there's plenty more sociopolitical parallels to suggest and lessons to be bludgeoned from their respective stories in the coming episodes. I'll leave you with a poignant and profound passage from the season opening soundtrack by Beyonce: Who are we? What we run? We run the worldWho run the world? Girls! Girls!
>>219759812>Cargo Chang & the IllegalsI saw them on their Mars '03 Tour.
Why is every trailer for this filled with comments about The Expanse?
>>219756991the characters on the show are fake to avoid lawsuits etc, you just gotta pretend kinoman was a real person on the Apollo program.
>>219755903Good one, we still have 7 episodes left, and then next year should be the series finale with Season 6.After Season 5 ends in June, Star City will begin.>>219760254Because retarded schoylent sippers from leddit see Mars and immediately think "MUH EXPANSE! LE MEMBER THE CANT EXDE, ALSO MUH STRONK WOMYN'
>>219762387>we still have 7 episodes left, and then next year should be the series finale with Season 6.Enjoy your slop. I shan't be watching.>After Season 5 ends in June, Star City will begin.>Slop CityThe show is going to become Americans vs the evil Russians because of present-day politics. Show had a good run. All good things must come to an end. Like Ed, who didn't want to be on life support, but went out as he lived. This show is now on life support.
>>219755903This is a terrible TV show and it always was
Ed is coming back as a robot in season 6, its confirmed
>>219755903Don't know. Didn't watch the finale. Stopped watching when the story became a girlboss training arc.
>>219763510They're gonna have to do something like that once the ratings and viewers tank. They'll probably make Season 6 a flashback season so they can bring Ed and Gordo back.
>>219755903>the year is 1995>USA has a lesbian President>there are gay niggers on Mars
>>219763687i couldn't get past the first part of 3rd season after they killed off all the likable characters and left us with repugnant crap.
>>219755903ngl I teared up a bit at the last shot of GeminiI think the recent posthumous message from Jim Lovell made it hit extra hard
>>219760618Not all fake. >Werner von Braun >Deke Slayton >Gene Kranz >all three Apollo 11 crew members At least in the beginning it was a bit more grounded in real world history, besides replacing the Apollo 10 crew
>>219760186Kek
Kinda sad that Ed's lineage is gone now. Daughter isn't his, grandson has zero Baldwin genes
>>219756991Ronald said that Korolev was the divergence, but it was never mentioned in the show itself, so it was never a concrete thing. Shifting it back a year doesn't break any of the established canon as far as I can tell. One thing I don't like is that Aleida said Kuragin is launching for Titan in just 6 weeks. I know they have scifi fusion engines at this point but it doesn't seem plausible that she can fly all the way to Mars AND rebuild the ship in that time frame.
>>219764621>Kinda sad that Ed's lineage is gone now.Don't be sad it's over, be glad it happened. Anyone watching beyond this point deserves the shit show it will become.
>>219755903Dr Pavel, I'm CIA.
Did you guys trick me with this shitI was promised astronaut kino and it was kinda like that at the start but I'm somewhere in S2 now and it's been muh drama, women and nogs for a while
>>219766814Every season has more space stuff at the beginning and end, and more mundane drama in the middle. The space stuff at the end of season 2 is great and probably the peak of the entire series
>>219763510They'll clone him and send a crew full of Kinomen on the first mission out of the solar system.
>>219764621Was there a reason they couldn't have kids? Did Kinoman's sperm get bamboozled by space radiation? It's stupid because Kinoman and Karen should have produced phenomenally beautiful daughters but instead we get an ugly gook.
>>219766798Has she been that cheeked up the whole time?
>>219767212>Was there a reason they couldn't have kids? They had a kid. He died in an accident.
>>219768166Oh yeah, forgot that. So did he steal a war orphan from Korea rather than having another?
>>219768873From Vietnam, the US pulled out earlier because of the financial burden of the continued space race
