What is the beat season and why is it 3?
>>
I've finally finished S1
>>
What are some haunting episodes?
>>
3 is best because:
unlike 1, Serling appears onscreen
unlike 2, there's no videotape episodes
unlike 4, there's no hour-long episodes
unlike 5, there's no lengthy string of turkeys to drag down the quality

but the best-written season was probably 1

S3 is best because Serling had fully earned his creative autonomy and was playing with house money, and he was taking a lot more risks. It's probably the most boldest and most "experimental" season overall. The eps written and directed by Monty Pittman are pretty unusually artful for their time.
