And now he just runs a fucking food bank or some shit? All those STEM adventures for nothing?
>>
a man's environment and his network are more important to financial success than his wits/intellect alone. you can be a genius in the ghetto or a trailer park and never get anywhere because you have no launching pad to realize your potential.
>>
>>219796742
Midwit cope.
Legitimate geniuses - like Malcolm was on the show - find a way to succeed in any environment.
The trope of le genius who ended up a failure was a trope they touched on in the show, but it was evident that Malcolm wasn't going to end up on that route. Everything about this reboot seems like an assassination of the characters and general theme of the show.
>>
>>219796613
I knew a girl like him growing up but she ended up being a successful lawyer at a big firm after working as a prosecutor.
>>
wasn't he supposed to become the president of America?
>>
>>219796868
You fail to see my point, probably because you're low IQ. I'm saying who you know is more important than what you know, and being born into those kinds of relationships opens many doors that even the brightest people in the world may never see because they're just not connected. Don't feel bad though. We can't all be bright. :^)

The reboot was an excuse for Bryan Cranston to pleasure himself, the dad was a fuck up in the original and they pretend he was some kind of saint in this like he didn’t take every Friday off for a year without his family knowing

>he literally is offered a six figure salary before graduating by a man who has known him for less than 5 minutes
he could have been anything but heaven forbid they show a young white man succeeding on tv
>>
>>219796965
No. Like I said, you are a coping midwit, and don't understand how things work.

None of that means shit when compared to some guy who is best friends with a CEO of a fortune 500 company even though he slept through college. Malcolm wasn't even likeable or charming.
>>

nepotism exists and i benefited from it in my career too but that isnt the point. malcolm's intelligence is enough that he could have punched his way through all of these problems that keep normies down. at the very least he could've done better than managing a food bank charity while being a single father and pining to one day hump another child into a flat black woman but again,
>heaven forbid they show a young white man succeeding on tv
>>
>>219796742
Absolute freak of nature tier geniuses that at least manage to get noticed enough to be in a program like Malcolm and "highest grades to ever be recorded and makes the rest of the smart kids look like chumps" will not necessarily "succeed" but they would at least be noticed enough to overcome some of the limitation (you won't necessarily have any "network" but you probably really would have a few "suitors" like Malcolm had)

it is not about race you dimwit, it is about a relatable character from childhood who was smarter but less lucky/happy than you (the average viewer), finally succeeding in life without all those obstacles like family and bullies, while you probably failed (or why the fuck would you watch a fucking kids show reboot 20 years later).

in short, nobody likes a mary sue character
>>
>>219796868
>The trope of le genius who ended up a failure
That's not a trope. That's based on actual reality. The smartest man in the world is a mustached retard working a deadend job and trying to work on a theory to present that proves the existence of god. Intelligence is an instrument. If you don't know how to use it, it's worthless.
>>
he was trying to run for president to live up to what he thought were his moms expectations

running a big charity to build up cred to run for a lower end public office seat was a step to his plan.

>Legitimate geniuses - like Malcolm was on the show - find a way to succeed in any environment.

that is not true at all. yes, IQ is a reliable method of estimating a person's future success but it's just that- an estimation. as you get older, i think you'll be surprised how many average or less than average people you'll meet who are able to succeed though hard work, charisma, risk, etc. and how many people who are, on paper, extremely bright who use their intellectual gifts to find revolutionary and inventive ways to destroy their own lives.
>>

LMAO No they don't. They just go into Academia and become tenured professors, largely contributing nothing to society.

As someone in pretty much this same situation, I complete understand why any other gifted person nowadays would drop out of modern society to do whatever crazy seeming idea they want to focus on.

We live in a state where way more food is produced than what is needed, and where anyone can use a fraction of their paycheck to buy tech that lets them access an enormous library of most of the best works by anyone who did something of note in the past several hundred yeas.

If you're on a level where you're beyond caring about normie status for any reason but supporting your own family better, you're naturally going to be more satisfied by giving as little a shit about it as you can in favor of achieving the best and most valuable unique goals you can.

Public education is this bizzaro diet communist world where the overt power structure is teachers own all the power and your success is measured by being submissive and doing busywork that amounts to nothing, which is where "smart" kids win.
Meanwhile, the real power structure in school is how popular and personable you are and how many friends you have, which is where all the "smart" kids fail.
Guess which is actually important in the real world.

almost none of the successful people i know were "exceptionally smart" people. they're all "normal" smart people who lucked into good networking and insider trading opportunities. the "exceptionally smart" people I know ended up lingering around academia, not really making it financially and toiling in relative obscurity in their niche, perhaps to be remembered as a name on a research paper in a scientific journal nobody will ever read. the only exception was a hyper-autist programmer who got picked up by some finance bros to launch a tangentially AI-related start up and they eventually ended up selling to anthropic or openai or some shit for half a billy.

I will never understand why people here take someone's personal anecdotes like gospel truth as long as it's posted on a completely different site and reposted here via screenshot.

The post itself reads more like a midwit seething than a smart person "noticing" that "midwits" are outperforming him. He's posting this on a subreddit for a podcast for starters.
>My brother was valedictorian
Who cares? Peaking in high school is very common and it's very common for kids who do well in the structured environment of school can't cope with the more chaotic working world. The junkie pornstar who is fucking Ethan Ralph right now was valedictorian and she is now a junkie pornstar fucking Ethan Ralph.
>My friend skipped grades
Again, this is not necessarily a sign of intelligence. It still relies on the structure of school and it very often happens that kids who skip grades burn out faster and would have benefited more from not skipping grades.
>went to MIT for math
And then what? They're a bartender now so they probably dropped out, and a drop out, even one from MIT, is not a sign of intelligence. Especially since they dropped out to become a bartender, not start a business or work on an invention.
The rest of the guy's post is a humble-brag.

The two checkmarked clowns acting amazed by the post are even more ridiculous. Being intelligent doesn't automatically mean you have merit and integrity, usually the opposite is true. The ancient Greeks knew this, being smart was seen as a potential for being untrustworthy. You really think the people who built an economy around scams are complete morons?

My point is, that the White ruling class of RAPEXICO doesn't let the educated non ruling class have positions of power, because they designed the system in such a way that they have the brownoids with their measle purchasing power to buy in the same 3 conglomerates their Coca-Cola and Bimbo products. Us White educated lower middle class visionaries want to create a Mexico akin to America in her heyday with less gross income inequality... or actually leave this forsaken hellhole for Europe.

There is a bootstrapping problem in the cycle of her behaviour; suddenly getting "harsh" was necessary to rein in Francis from fucking setting the house on fire, but it's also clearly established that she had a feud with him from birth because he was able to thrive without her.

So it does suggest that she really does at least subconsciously sabotage her children to keep them under her thumb, even though many times she is "right" because they have that wild streak in them, it's somewhat a case of her "selling the cure" to "what she poisoned them with"

Obviously in real life though she'd basically be textbook NPD devouring mother, but for the sake of a sitcom, I suppose you can assume she's not actually intended to be portrayed as "evil" and it's played up to the extreme for laughs

did we watch the same show? by the end he was portrayed as a resentful neurotic loser that can't even make friends and just seethes impotently all the time. this is exactly the kind of high iq person that ends up a total failure because his lack of character means all that brainpower is spent on self-sabotage. that's what makes the finale idea of him trying to become president so absurd. he has the opposite of "presidential" qualities.
