>>219803888It is disappointing that there are so many white characters in 2x01; I saw season 1 as a more mature version of a kdrama that put korean immigrants (different culture, different values) in the spotlight. Every now and then there is a kdrama where a character lives overseas for a while so that POV is very rare. I also liked the mix of different Asian cultures and not just Koreans.

They go to the trouble of making the hapa dude a Butkus winner but then handwave away his football career with some dumb "I got injured junior year" explanationAnyone who wins the Butkus award is making an NFL team, at least on the practice squad or injured reserve. Apart from getting paralyzed or a really really bad concussion, there's really no injury that will cause all 32 NFL teams from not taking a chance on a minimum contract
