Isn't Call of Duty just generic mostly standalone war games? If you want a "Call of Duty" movie just watch any war movie ever made.

They are. Cope some more, Ivan.

Not exactly. Call of Duty is very rah-rah, pro-military, pro-war, and super American exceptionalist in terms of its rhetoric. Like a lone man saving the world from a crazy Russian madman who wants to nuke the entire fucking planet or whatever bullshit. I would say it has more in common with the Transformers movies or James Bond than any war film that's ever been made.

Is COD even relevant today? I haven't played cod since the xbox360 days.
>>
>>219807785
No, which is why the movie will be 16 years too late.

Call of Duty used to be WW2 shooter, but nowadays it is basically just wacky Fortnite clone.

How's Israel portrayed in the games?

Based, as it should be.
>>

britfag SAS are the heroes of the series who beat all the bad guys and solve all the problems really

>>219807879
I don't think Israel has ever been in a CoD game actually
>>
>>219807429
I don’t give a fuck.

Should have made one in 2014 or 2015 before Trumpism ruined everything of USA and the world from 2016 to now!

A cod Black Ops movie could be massively based or extreme garbage, no inbetween

surely this will breath new life into the franchise

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
But hey a cod zombies movie spinoff sounds fun
>>
>>219807429
I'll admit I'm not a big CoD guy, but isn't CoD one of those games that's mostly about the gameplay? It just seems like generic military FPS. I get the name recognition as a selling point, but it seems like the most pointless game to adapt just from a story perspective.
>>
>>219808278
from what I remember MW2 had a story that could make for a good action B-movie, and people really liked a character called Ghost

It HEAVILY depends on what CoD they plan adapting, most probably they will go the easy route and just do Modern Warfare trilogy stuff because Zombies is too wacky for a first movie and Black Ops would be too political.
>>
>>219808278
In Black Ops 1, you played as the "second" shooter of JFK.
A good adaptation of that story could be neat to say the least.
>>
>>219807429
Only if it's shot in first person, not even in its entirety, just 90% of it. If not, I don't care
>>
>>219808582
a Hardcore Henry style CoD mission? That could be kino
>>
>>219808383
I thought infinite and advanced are from the same timeline. anyway what the fuck were they thinking releasing THREE cods set in the future back to back?
>>
>>219808383
Loved IW's campaign, the idea of a spacecraft carrier is as kino as it gets
>>
>>219808784
iirc back then movies like elysium is currently a hit so they riding on that waves, but maybe i'm wrong
