After 8 years I saw it.My brother and a lot of my friends watched back in the day and even advised to watch it, some of my friends even told me >"The MC, Parsifal is like you, a huge pop culture nerd, maybe you'll enjoy the movie".After 8 years late I watched it and to be short, I liked it 7/10 but it's a more a 6 or 5(I have this thing that after I watch a movie I give another score because I think about plot and what the movie gave me), before saying Reddit and Member berry(it is both this movie) I would say it's pretty modern even today from a certain point of view, it shows how infact the new generation approach pop culture and how even it's so souless, but I mean more like people lost what all these movies and franchasises were about now it's just used and bastardized by people, this is about the topic of the skins and the pop culture reference while for the VR aspect and the metaverse is another story even the crypto it's like without thinking they made a commentary about it but in reality there's nothing profound about it, it's just a action movies for nerds, which is made for my demographic, maybe i would've appriciated more this movie in the theaters when it came out. It's really the Avatar of 2018 a good flick that was made to be a box office and he did that.I liked more and feel more of a connection with Halliday(the creator of Oasis) more than parcifal or the other players, maybe because I had a teenage life like Halliday always stuck on screens reading books and comics and playing games until I was 18 and got a social life, real relationships, real travel and real friends. Like Halliday said, don't waste your time anons there's a world outside.
I ain't reading all that but I liked the movie

how did you find these "friends">>219808212
>>219808212this webm summarizes the plot of "reddit player one"
>>219808270Well some were from middleschool I had real friends in middleschool but I expanded my circle after I started going to college and it all started from a DnD group search and expanded my circle then a thing lead to another and I go to a LGS and play battletech or Bloodbowl and meet other fellow nerds. As you see I'm still the nerd who go's to cons and still game today and interact with people.
>>219808357>LGSOh I seeI just wonder. I tried meeting more people and making more friends, but I guess it was pretty much impossible since it seemed like almost everyone just goes to college and post-secondary is like the only option to meet people your age. I went to some events, and groups and things but it was mostly always like 30 year olds.
Anyway, I utterly love this movie. Can't wait for the sequel, will get around to reading the books at some point. Here's a cool song based on the bookshttps://youtu.be/WQaH3lh-CA4?si=g3FGW9g6TcL-jNHs
Now that nerds and redditors switched to hating the book I actually think it's pretty soulful.
>>219808577>>219808592Op still here. the book I heard it's bad like 150 pages are about the actual story the rest they say it's the equivalent of this song>>219808268But I'll give it a try but in audiobook format narrated by Wil Wheaton(it's like is made for him that book)
I thought it was confusing. It had too much popculture? cramped in. Like I'm not watching all those old movies so I can understand what's going on. And they didn't tell us much. Like I know what King Kong was and how mario fought him but it made no sense the big ape chased cars. Same with skullhead being moneygreedy and the mechwarrior able to 1-hit the big robo-t-rex street fighter style.
>>219808441>I went to some events, and groups and things but it was mostly always like 30 year olds.I feel called out even if i'm the guy who's 30 and still go to the LGS and see both kids of like i would say 12 yo play yu gi oh and magic against 30 yo guys is both cringe and wholesome, because even if we're "adults" we're still in love with the idea of Playing
>>219809214yeah it's like the pedos you alway see on those video chat websites who always say that they're "playing" when they whip out their dicks and start jerking it
rule 34 on parzival - yes or no?
>>219808212It's an alright movie and the amount of pop culture included is huge, a bit shame they can't secure right for ultraman since tsuburaya back then is undergoing some trademark dispute because the mechagodzilla fight was planned to be fought with ultraman and afaik it's better than the book
Olivia Cooke is cute
>>219808592It just means you're a mindless faggot who bases his opinion on people's thoughts.
>>219808350so if you're the white rabbit wherever you go will be where fate dictates you shall go and causality is unbeatable?
