>>219821029I thought the book was disappointing. Three or four stock sci-fi clichés not all that well put together, and it can't decide which one is the central story. Klara herself is an appealing character but you really look for a bit more weight from a Nobel laureate.Some slightly-thin novels make good films but I don't think this is one of those. My guess is it will end up feeling like a made-for-TV thing.
