>>219824496That was my recommendation! I'm glad you liked it. I enjoyed your short review, and I agree that it is a standout amongst its genre. We need more isopod horror, preferably with a protagonist with a big fat ass too big for her pants.

>>219829977Or it's because women are generally perceived as beautiful and pure, so seeing them as monsters is jarring and interesting, versus some dude just looking like a monster which wasn't uncommon for the time because of being in wars.

>>219827223Yep it was kino.I think I liked ParaNorman more because it had a tighter story, and was a bit more traditional with the ghosts and ghouls. But Coraline was best at the start where it seemed very dreamy, also very nice themesong.

>>219830052>so seeing them as monsters is jarring and interesting, versus some dude just looking like a monster Weird, because most of classic body horror films have horrifying male character that got transformed. Female body horror is just so shallow, it is always about the self pity, woe is me and not about the loss of humanity or the lack of it.
>>219831114There was some horror movie I recall hearing about where some guy and woman are both made into formless blobs that just have sex in some guys basement all day since there's nothing else left of their minds. I forget the movie but it sounded pretty fucked up.

>>219832008>They Live>marry and reproduce > broo that's deep broIsn’t it though? The average male is just some low value and I have talked to many many married men as a kid and asked them why you have kids and they say “it just happens.” Ask many again after getting older and its the same answer. And these are all middle upper class and above men. Besides the larp from low value men on 4chan, no one is thinking about a “legacy” or whatever they say. “Muh son.”My examples were pretty rich men and not low iq, now think about the majority or the masses. These people are unattractive, poor and just shack up and reproduce with no goal or anything in life. “It just happens affer marriage” is something I heard many times. Low value men latch onto “im married now with kids” like ofher low value who latch onto their race.
>>219832152Nice off topic post but you're still a mentally ill homosexual spammer
>>219832008There is a culture on 4chan where low value males larp with “i am looking for a wife for my legacy” or “i made it, i am married now.” The amount of times I read this. Like bro, what legacy? >marry and reproduce You literally just had a kid who will be some working class normie who struggles in life. And the data supports this too. 2.5% of Americans have 1m. What legacy are you passing except birthing the next generation of workers. The movie revealed that and in 2026 with the massive wealth divide, many people don’t want to accept they are serfs and nothing else.

Could anyone help me identify a movie I watched ages ago and can't remember the name of? I don't remember it being particularly good but I want to remember it anyway. It was a horror/thriller anthology, released probably around 2008-2015. I remember it having a modern and clean production style, a pretty bland but slightly kitschy aesthetic, maybe Black Mirror-ish visually.I remember one of the stories was a dude being given a drug by some sort of inhaler or something that gave him super charisma or some other sort of power at the expense of slowly eating away at his body and I seem to think the story ends with him coming to an ultimatum and ultimately deciding to continue using the drug and his face is all peeled away.Another story I think revolved around a dude in an office building where he worked or some shit and people around him were transforming into aliens or monsters. I feel like that story ends with him face to face with a female colleague in a business suit where he feels momentarily safe before she too transforms and lunges toward him/the camera in first person.
>>219832439Sorry, no, I don't know that one.But just the day before yesterday I was looking for a movie myself. The title was so forgettable that I forgot. I asked Google. Google gave me the wrong movie. I asked Google again, describing it more precisely. Google gave me another wrong movie. I typed a whole paragraph with as many details as I remembered. Google said it couldn't deal with it. I pasted the same paragraph into ChatGPT, and 5 seconds later I had my answer. And this time the answer was correct.
>>219832316Kill yourself
>>219832508I already learned the ChatGPT meta. It's usually really good but it has failed me here. It also failed me the other day trying to remember a song. Spent about a half hour going round in circles with it when I then decided to just search my description in Google and the song was listed among several possibilities within the top result which was a Reddit thread of somebody trying to remember the same thing, which for some reason ChatGPT didn't pull for me.
>>219832439No but given the level of detail you remember, I think you'll get it eventually... you could ask ChatGPT for a big list of anthologies released in that time and see if you recognize the title.

>>219833371Speaking of posing for photos, those old DVD covers still get me.I understand that sometimes you can't get all of the actors together to pose for a cover because they could be working on other projects and be thousands of miles apart. But these are companies with budgets in the tens of millions at a minimum and what they come up with looks like someone's first try of mspaint.I've been watching an old TV show and they did it with a photo on one of the episodes too. Some are unavoidable because it's like photos of when they were kids in a group and because they didn't know each other back then there's obviously no way to have a group photo of them. But this one was supposed to be a photo from 10 years earlier with the protag and three ex-cellmates. What they seem to have done is taken a photo of four people and shooped the protag's face over one of them. It zooms right in and it looks fucking horrendous because of the job they did on it.It makes no sense neither because the protag looks the exact same age anyway and you never see the other three in the episodes other than in the photo. It would have been easier to just offer three people a bowl of warm soup to pose with the protag for a single photo.Very bizarre stuff.

Are we excited for Cannes Fixbros?
>>219828589Dead Heat unironically
>>219824010Reminds me of modern resident evil nude mods where the protagonist runs around naked in a very hostile enviroment. Its so very out of place, but its the only good thing about this mid movie since Kristen is hot af
>>219828589House of Wax

Watched Dangerous Animals recently. Nothing to write home about but Jai Courtney was pretty rad all the same. To be desu my biggest problem is that they were going for the whole… >MEN are the REAL Dangerous AnimalsWhich I wouldn’t be bothered about, but they totally half assed it. Especially compared to something like Men (2022).
>>219838577that's it bitch, you're going in the blood shed
>>219838055> Kristen is hot afNo she is not.

What's your favorite itch.io horror game?
>>219837849That's fine, manI avoided the Child's Play movies for almost a decade because I watched part of the second one as a kid and it really fucked me upWhen I finally decided to watch the whole franchise later on, it didn’t quite live up to the horror I’d build up in my head all those years
To think this beautiful movie was created by the same guy who made Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles and Braindead ...
>>219824967Anon's ""adult woman fetish""

Ok /hor/ pizza and movie night. Starting with Logan‘s run. But afterwards I am in the mood for horror.Tonight’s choices include:>the eyes of my mother >Midsommar>Carrie>altered states>Stitches >dreamcatcher>the human centipede >talk to me>Megan>AntichristWhat would you choose and why?>inb4 my selection sucksYeah, well, that’s just, like, you know, your opinion, man.
>>219844445Altered States, Talk to Me, and M3gan are my personal favorites of that list, but all for very different reason. You'd have to pick a film based on your mood I think.
>>219844445Dreamcatcher. it's a favorite of mine and it'll fit the vibe
>>219844445>StitchesLow budget with bad effects. Pretty 50/50 in likeability.>CarrieWhich one? Original is a classic and still a good movie.>MidsommarI like it, but it is a bit long.>The Human CentipedeActually good, unlike the sequels.>MeganIt's just a fun modern sci-fi horror movie.

Time for a toilet break with one hour left on Logan‘s run. Let’s have a look at 4chan, what could possibly go wrong.Oh yeah, it’s still 4chan, what did I expect.>>219844652>You'd have to pick a film based on your mood I thinkGuess you are right. I think my weirdness and 70s itch was scratched for today. Maybe something more modern and mainstream is the way to go.To everyone else:Thanks for all the input and a special shout-out to the larper for keeping the idiots occupied.
