I have been noticing worse word-of-mouth around this time, even among Nintendo fans. I think it's a combination of the novelty of "Mario in cinemas" not being as strong this time, plus this being a "Mario GALAXY" movie rather than just a "Mario" movie means it's more noticeable that Illumination can't actually capture the tone of what they're adapting.

To give Nintendo people some credit, they seem to dislike this film just as much if not more than critics. I think Rosalina and Peach being sisters in particular is a sore spot with them
