Unfortunately there’s no visual upgrade for DS9 but it’s a good set all the same. Next big one for me to pick up but there’s usually a bundle that comes with the Voyager set too so I’m waiting on that.

Something that doesn’t get talked about enough is the ‘ritual’ aspect of putting a movie on. When I just click a few buttons on a streaming site or Plex/Fin server I feel like there’s a “disconnect” between me and the movie and it feels more disposable and I’m more likely to drift away from it. I think choosing a disc, opening a case, seeing the artwork, clicking through the menus and putting it on puts me more “in the zone”. Especially if it’s something like an Indicator release which has things like audio options or regional release/aspect ratios.
