The characters were distilled versions of their anime counterparts, which is all that could be expected from a 90-minute, stand-alone piece of content. The voice acting was shit. The animation had a few rough points, but was ultimately good. Nothing was offensive aside from trying to push the idea that cultural and ethnic suicide is actually a good thing, though I suppose that's offensive enough. It did at least have best girl.

He probably had more lines than the fucking Denied gang combined. So that raises eyebrows to begin with, but hey, a pro VA could have a guest spot and get similar treatment.The second thing that nails it is he doesn't sound right for the character. He sounds like a dad doing a silly character for his kids. Which means either he was cast for his name and not his suitability for the role, and/or he doesn't really know how to act in a voice that isn't his own. You can listen to compilations of pro VAs and all the characters they've voice, and holy fucking shit a lot of the time you wouldn't even know it's the same person. So when you have a big boar monster thing and he just sounds like some guy, it's probably someone who is not used to voice acting
