I don't believe that. How the fuck could Gollum's gran still be alive? Hobbits don't live for centuries, presumably proto-hobbits don't either, and Gollum's hometown and community ceased to exist some time ago.

Unless she's only going to appear in flashback scenes. I suppose that could be it.
