>set in Delaware>looks like Chicago or something
>AHHHH STOP GIVING ME MONEY I'M GOING INSANE
>>219852435Delaware is weird if you’ve never been there. The center of the city has huge skyscrapers that house, or used to house, the headquarters or offices of a bunch of major banks, with at least one bank that owned maybe four separate blocks with huge buildings connected by bridges across the streets. If you walked several blocks away from these buildings, you basically wound up in ghetto areas with public housing, were the police were constantly arresting people and patrolling. If you travelled a mile South, and crissed some small canal or river, you basically wound up in an area with a scrap yard, that looked like it could be in a small town in the rural South. Further down that same highway, you wound up on what looked like a rural Southern highway, that had a bunch on adult bookstores on the sides of the road. That was likely what the city was like when the movie was made. At the time, luxury condo complexes were being built for the bank workers or executives, a few minute walk from crime ridden ghetto areas, and the skyscrapers looked like the one in Die Hard. Up North in Philadelphia, you have poor areas, but not that close to the center city skyscrapers.

>>219852652>huge skyscrapersmovie was shot on studio lots and in Los Angelesi think Wilmington officials didn't allow them to shoot the movie there although it says on Wikipedia tha the claim lacks a source
Never even considered that it was supposed to be set in Delaware. I always thought it was LA, just the industrial side of town.
>>219852863the book is set in Delaware but the movie was indeed shot in L.A. and they don't specify what city it is meant to be likely cause if they said L.A. bookfags would go aieeeeee it's supposed to be Delaware and if they said Wilmington casual viewers would say wtf that does not look like Wilmington
>>219852435Delaware?Fucking Delaware? The most inconsequential state in the country?
>>219852652Delaware is a beach state. It literally only exists so us in maryland have an alternative vacation spot to north carolina. You have no idea what you're talking about.
>>219852828>huge skyscrapersThis photo literally crops out all the shit areas, or the areas are hidden by the “skyscrapers”. Just yo the right if the Chase building there was a shitty ghetto area. A number of these buildings took up a full city block. Many of these bank buildings are close to the size of the buildings in Center City Philadelphia, despite Wilmington DE having 1/20th the population. That train station in the foreground is an Amtrak train station, that also had tracks for Septa trains coming from Philadelphia, and the train station was only two stories, but the station seemed to have as many Amtrak police officers as the Amtrak station in Philadelphia. >>219852994
