Every inch is jam packed and every building is a hundred stories. There's billions of people living in a city that stretches the entire east coast, from the southern tip to the north. Those on the bottom live horrendous lives even when they try to abide by the law, they usually are forced into crime just to live or by the constant roving gangs warring with each other. Those on top are rich as fuck and don't care about the bottom. Just want Judges to handle it. The Stallone Judge Dredd movie got it 100% right. And the Cursed Earth too. It's not just some bland mexican desert. It's a fucking hellscape that covers the entirety of the American interior. Full of cannibals and mutants. Making it into just a bland motorcycle cop that fights some drug dealers in a tall apartment was dumb. That never needed Judge Dredd branding and could have been called anything. It skipped out on almost everything that makes the comic enjoyable.
