Italians made better westerns than Americans and Americans haven't stopped seething since
>>
>>219866646
What is top right? It's the only one I don't recognize
>>
>>219866672
The Return of Ringo
>>
>>219866707
Any good?
>>
>>219866646
Show me literally one single person mad about this
>>
>>219866740
Look in the archive for basically any western thread and see all the Americans seething that no one cares about their black/white muh good vs bad John Wayne slop
I'll take a Sergio Leone film over that any day
>>
For me it's Rio Bravo
>>
>>219866779
Ah, you made it up because you’re obsessed with Americans
>>
>>
>>219866836
I am American, retard
>>
why do people pretend the non Leone spaghetti westerns are good?
>>
>>219866901
Corbucci made some good ones. I liked Django a lot even if it is just A Fistful of Dollars in a different font (which is itself a western remake of Kurasawa's Yojimbo)
I also liked The Great Silence which i do believe is overrated by the Spaghetti bros but still good
>>
I love TGTBATU but still consider For a Few Dollars More to be the better film
But I can't help but think OUATITW is still his best film
>>
For me it's the weird hippie westerns they made a few years later like Little Big Man, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, McCabe and Ms Miller, etc
>>
Not really though. There's like 7 good spaghets, but 23 good West westerns.
>>
>>219867184
Name every single one
>>
>>219866851
To be fair it's not mutually exclusive

In Italia, this man is your doctor. He performs house calls on his horse if you get sick. He is your friend.

>wop
>american
Only founding colonial stock are Americans. You are an occupying force. You may think you have prevailed since real Americans are outnumbered in their own land, but that's also what the Muslims thought when they ruled over 90% of the Iberian peninsula.
>>
>>219867184
When those 7 absolutely mog those 23, that's saying something
>>
>>219866646
They really didnt. They just made westerns more in line with the cartoon/Tarantino version that you imagine Westerns being in your head so you like them better. You probably watch American westerns and assume they are attempting to do this but just arent as good at it. In reality Americans made real Western movies that were serious and poetic, sincere works of art. Every single John Ford western is infinitely more complex and artistic than every sphaghetti western but you probably dont watch them because they arent sloppy cartoonish action movies with lots of jokes, violence, and silly music.
>>219866779
This is literally an inverse of reality. Sphagetti westerns are the prototypical cartoonish black and white “mythological” western, American westerns are the more complex character studies and meditations on America and the West. I dont even understand how someone can watch the Searchers and type the comment you just wrote here. Its basically Taxi Driver before Taxi Driver. Meanwhile every single movie in your OP is “muh good vs bad” slop

case closed
>>
>>219866740
theres a lot of people who think spaghetti westerns are american movies because they star us actors
>>
>>219866736
Not that Anon but I personally didn't like it that much. A Pistol For Ringo though is awesome. The English and Italian versions are great. And both movies are not connected which I thought they were before watching The Return of Ringo.
>>
>>219866985
>I also liked The Great Silence which i do believe is overrated by the Spaghetti bros but still good
This. The Mercenary and Companeros are better films.
>>
>>219866646
John Ford alone made more great westerns than all of the Italian directors combined
>>
>>219866646
No, you just like a handful of superficial action movies that one or two Italian directors made in the 60s. Them being westerns is incidental.
>>
>>219868337
When there are women around they usually rape them

Pleb subgenre

>>219866646
also westerns aside, some of the better "american" filmmakers like coppola and scorsese are italian immigrants

/tv/ isn't ready yet to have a proper conversation about the Western contributions of the Jews.
>>
>>219869566
Don't care
>>
>>219867132
I haven't seen any of these yet. But I think I'll watch Butch Cassidy this evening
>>
>>219869469
Coppola was born in Detroit and Scorsese was born in New York. Neither are immigrants
>>
>>219869566
i just assume all genres relating to the western world has jews working on them, like how all animation and cartoons has some kind of asian presence involved
>>
For me, it's Paulo Tomasi Antonelli of the Valle di San Fernando.
>>
>>219866646
Anon, Italians literally everything better. American cinema has literally never been able to reach the artistic heights of Italian cinema in the 60s
>>
>>219870217
cope
>>
>>219866646
Name someone who's "seething".
>>
Leone did but the rest was largely slop. That said we're talking about wops vs kikes here.
>>
Teenage years is thinking the Spaghetti westerns are better.
Adulthood is realizing the American Westerns are far superior.
There isn't a single Spaghetti Western better than Stagecoach - and that's just one example.
I will give Leone credit for this though - Once Upon a Time in America is probably one of the best films ever made.
>>
>so what do you like about spaghetti westerns
>>dude, listen to the music in this scene!
You like Ennio Morricone. The movies are shit.
>>
>>219871071
I agree his music is amazing
