The Aquaman movies are also some of the few comic book movies that really feel like comic books. Whilst the DCEU are far from perfect, they hold up and still function as a pleb filter. As a side note, Snyder also filtered many with Sucker Punch too - he’s far smarter than he gets credit for. I think his biggest problem is shooting too high and not hitting the target. Also, I’ll die on the hill that a lot of the overly negative perception was paid dissent from Marvel/Disney. You’d think they were Ed Wood movies the way people talk(ed) about them.
