>this movie made millennials shit and piss themselves in laughter

I don't get it. Even as a millennial myself, I remember watching this in my teens and not thinking it was remotely funny. I pretended to like it because that seemed like what everyone else was saying, but what am I missing?
>Bro le epic MUPPET MUSICAL XD
>You see his WIENER!

/tv/, explain plz

I was there at the time and didn't get it either. Out of all those movies I thought this one was kind of weak. Maybe I just hate that guy. On the left in the picture. I already forgot his name and just looked at the image.

I never found Segel or Hader funny in anything. Kristen Bell is a cutie pie tho desu
>>
>>219875240
I don't remember anyone actually thinking this movie was funny same with knocked up. Both movies seemed really forced, was heavily advertised. Meanwhile 40 year old virgin was a heavy part of the YouTube clip/dub over culture of yt poop hey day.

Kristen Bell was hot as shit. Still would.

I think our generation was brainwashed to think Seth Rogen was our hilarious stoner friend, but going back now, his shit is hack and lame. I don't recall a single moment from Knocked Up that was funny. There were a few in 40 Year Old Virgin, but mehhh. I have to admit that I watched Me, Myself, & Irene recently and found that it still held up.

Great movie, it’s uncontroversally funny. What’s wrong with you spergs
>>
>>219875571
What are some funny parts?
>>

Out of all the Apatow and adjacent comedies of that era, this and Superbad are the only ones that hold up.

He wrote and directed 1.5 decent comedy movies 20 years ago, lost any cleverness he had and never went away. His effect on comedy movies/shows has been a disaster but he keeps getting involved with more and more.

Haders bad advice as the friend, Rudds funny surfer guy bit, the guy from 30 rock who’s a virgin on his honeymoon, Russell brand as a whole. Jonah hills sycophantic hotel employee character. Generally Jason segals self hating depressive guy act (YOU SHALL NOT PASS). The dynamic when segal and brand start bonding at dinner over hating Kristen bell. Also has some lovely romantic parts and a good message re breakups and personal development. Can’t find a flaw tbqh senpai
>>
>>219875771
The flaw is none of it is actually funny
>>
>>219875788
You’re wrong lol
>>
>>219875240
The Judd Apatow era of comedy was awful and I don't remember anyone actually thinking anything from these movies being funny besides "Superbad"
>>
>>219876011
His movies collectively have grossed 3 billion dollars who are you trying to convince
>>

Fun fact. The picture of Mila Kunis was the first pair of boobs I ever saw (obviously besides being breastfed), when I was about 10 or 11, while watching with my older sisters at our grandparents' house.
