When dvd players were new tech, they were going for 1200-3000 depending on how nice of one you bought. It's not crazy to imagine the truck was packed with high end models that could easily be sold off through a fence. Quick sale, fast cash. They might be getting 800 bucks per unit if they have a good fence

DVD players were like 200 dollars in the year 2000
so yeah stealing a couple of hundred of them is a good run
