That's why he's on it often. It's to showcase his skills and help him develop as a comedian. He's not my favorite by any stretch but he's pretty consistent and hasn't completely fell off the way some regulars do this early on. People like to get reactionary when it comes to the regulars who perform almost every week but I tend to be a little more forgiving because Tony has since cut back on promoting a ton of regulars every week and also just because it's tough to perform a brand new minute of great comedy on the biggest comedy show in the world viewed by millions every single week. It's impossible to nail it every single time and so far Dedric has only had maybe 1 or 2 mediocre sets which is a good track record given the amount of times he has been on.

>>219881240To be fair, Drew Nickens is almost never on. He's probably been on the show maybe twice in the last year and a half. He's the worst example though of someone who was objectively never funny, got a golden ticket, and failed to deliver. He seems likes a good guy and he did have a decent set I think the last time he was on, but he's not fit to be a comedian. Kam on the other hand has legitimate talent and a shit ton of potential but suffered the fate of being a young inexperienced comedian who was stuck performing under high pressures every single week as I stated earlier. Dedric is still too new so I'll give him more chances but I'm ready to trash him yet since he's not painfully unfunny like some people, just derivative.
