That was just stupid. Who the fuck writes these scritps? How hard is to make a proper egyptian mummy horror?

AI

lee cronin
>>
>>219892035
>writes these scritps?
You would be surprised but the man’s name is Lee Cronin
>>
>>219892070
I'm pretty sure AI would be able to create a better script and with actual mummy in it.
>>
>>219892070
I worked with chatgpt on some texts and stories. It's actually not that bad. It can keep things plausible and coherent if you want it to. Using AI is no excuse for shitty scripts.

> How hard is to make a proper egyptian mummy horror?
What's wrong with The Mummy (1932), The Mummy's Hand (1940), The Mummy's Tomb (1942), The Mummy's Ghost (1944), The Mummy's Curse (1944), The Mummy (1959), The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964), The Mummy's Shroud (1966), Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (1971), The Awakening (1980), The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001)?
>>
>>219892199
>SAAR, AI VERY GOOD, SAAR! KEEP THINGS PLAUSIBLE, SAAR! YOU JUST SUCH AT USING IT, SAAR!
>>
>>219892300
You don't even know 95% of these films existed until now.
>>
>>219892035
>welcome home, our reanimated-corpse daughter
The premise is absolutely retarded.
>>
>>219892311
are you on drugs
>>
>>219892364
Not true. I'm well versed with the Mummy films.
>>
>>219892300
>What's wrong with The Mummy (1932),
Nothing.
>The Mummy's Hand (1940)
Half of the movie id basically a comedy
>The Mummy's Tomb (1942), The Mummy's Ghost (1944), The Mummy's Curse (1944),
Recycled stale shit using same scenes, enough od Tana leaves
>The Mummy (1959), The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964),
These are cool but Hammer wooden acting kills them
>The Mummy's Shroud (1966), Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (1971),
Meeh
>The Awakening (1980)
Barely a mummy movie
>The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001)?
Comedies, parody level
>>
>>219892449
Anon, I'm starting to think you just don't like mummy movies
>>
>>219892449
This guy watches Mummy movies. Absolutely based.
>>
all mummy movies suck ass, they are complete mess in one way or another, black and white ones are boring as hell and stupid too, especially Kharis ones. hammer horrors are not scary at all, the rest doesn't even qualify as horror. don't get me started on these crappy made for video movies like the mummy lives or tale of mummy and the mummy resurrected.

new movie is a horror but no mummies in it, lol
>>
>>219892449
>but Hammer wooden acting
Eh, I thought Christopher Lee and Kushing did alright in that movie. Bonus points for the Mummy actually having screen time and killing people 1v1 which was sort of missing from the otherwise good original with Karloff.

from the first shoot i knew it was going to be fucking shit, look like the budget was 5 mil. and the actors were from the streets and were paid with 500 bucks and three meals

Cushing*
>>
>>219892722
ok, but if it isnt a good mummy movie is it atleast a good horror movie?
t, doesnt really give a shit about mummies
>>
>>219893662
NTA but it's alright. Certainly worth a single watch and there's plenty of worse horror movies made today.
>>
>>219892035
It was good
The ending was kind of strange, if you have a demon that needs to be contained in a human body take it public, get willing hosts or condemned criminals for it
Also "What Happened to Katie" would be better title
>>219892365
Do you think they knew there was magic going on from the beginning? The whole thing is they thought she was just traumatized
>>
How to make a mummy movie
>there's some pyramid or something
>there's a mummy in it
>it lives
>it kills and terrorizes people

But NAH it always has to be some wahwah faggotry

She had aged and her appearance and mannerisms were consistent with someone who had been held in captivity in poor conditions.
They started pushing the limit of disbelief when she ate that scorpion.
>>
>>219892300
You forgot Time Walker.
>>
>>219893581
It's more like they have stage play manner.
>>
>>219892035
I want this type of mummy.

it's time we got this kind of mummy again
>>
>>219892035
The mummy is considered racist and they can't make it feminist like Frankenstein or Dracula
>>
>>219893800
That's like, racist or something

Racist against a people that hasn't existed for over a thousand years and a civilization that hasn't existed for thousands of years?
>>
>>219894543
Much better than that posessed girl from the new one.
>>
>>219892035
Mummy's are not scary. It's just a zombie wrapped in toilet paper. No one finds that shit intimidating anymore unc.
>>
>>219892035
Literal "woke" mummy

There is no escaping this shit
>>
>>219894622
Being in a big dark labyrinthine tomb and a an ancient corpse awakening and starting to kill people is pretty obviously scary.
>>
>>219894622
>unc
you're literally afraid of an empty room
>>
>>219894622
Dunno I always found mummies scarier than typical zombies because it's a way older corpse, many of them dating B.C.
I guess it helps that there's such a thing as an Egyptian curse IRL, or at least weird coincidences and bad luck following archeologists who open these tombs.
>>
>>219894622
The movie's opening with the "proper" mummy was scarier than what followed for the rest of the film (the zoomer girl with lock-in syndrome)
>>
>>219894661
It's ripe for found footage. You would actually have a good reason to be filming inside a pyramid.
>>
>>219894543
>face completely intact
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>219894392
This is more like it.
>>

She has a hole on cheeks

At least according to RLM their going hypothesis is evil dead related

Opening an airtight tomb and releasing toxic mold spores?

I'll give you that. I would prefer if the walking corpse was more corpse-looking. She has lips, for Pete's sake.

I burst out laughing every time I see this pic ever since Anon made that
>COULD YOU PLEASE SHUT THE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOR?
joke last week
>>
>>219894655
It's not really woke
It's a typical catholic horror film with a "mummy"
>>
>>219893846
Are you saying she was alive for the bulk of the time she’d been missing or that she’s continuing to age as a “mummy”?
>>
>>219894911
I find them scarier because they’re more like the wights from GoT. It takes way more than a headshot to kill them because they’re literal magic.
>>
>>219892449
Forgetting the best one desu Abbott and Costello 1955 meet the mummy :@
