Same for gay actors - not all of them can commit to roles and do what the script is required, without turning it into some gay rights crusade. The crux is gays think gay roles typecast them or pay less, so they automatically see straight roles as superior in social value/pay (market appeal), yet they resent this and subvert it in a vicious cycle of never growing up to do the job (all lives can be complicated and portrayed with due dilligence.)
