Why is virtually all discussion of entertainment media on the internet about children's media? YA dominates book discussion while TV and Film discussion are almost exclusively about Disney-owned properties or children's cartoons like Avatar TLA, Bluey, Steven Universe, Pokemon, etc. Video games goes without saying since there aren't any video games designed for adults besides porn games and autistic military sims.

> Avatar TLA
Obviously it’s specifically targeted to manchildren as the core audience

Despite the idea that "the internet is the mainstream", most normal people still aren't on it THAT much, and certainly not outside of a handful of the most mainstream platforms. The bulk of online discussion is still heavily driven by autistic weirdos.

I've been reporting the avatar the last airbender threads successfully recently so there is some good in the world

because media conglomerates in the 2000s that making everything PG-13 doubnled your audience. it's why there are no more r-rated blockbusters
>>
The thing that annoys me most is when people insist aggressively that it has serious themes and it actually just as entertaining for adults. Avatar and Bluey are probably the worst offenders, I'm so incredibly sick of people telling me how good Bluey is. The show is literally for babies. I'm not watching it voluntarily until I have a kid.

i look like this and say all of this about star wars
>>

Avatar obviously has serious themes are you retarded? There’s like offscreen genocide and massacre, morality of war shit, nationalism debates. It’s not like it’s Tolstoy or anything but it not like if you watched it when you were 10 you can’t still watch it now.
But yeah jumping into it in your 20s would be weird. Pick something a little more substantive

>try to discuss literally any media with a physical conflict in it in the year of our lord 2011+15
>literally nothing but Latinx teenagers complaining that the creator hasn't given the audience full career stats of every single character's W/L ratio
