>The trailer shows Matt Hagen (Tom Rhys Harries) sitting in a hospital bed with a bandaged, bloody face. Flashbacks feature him being attacked by a knife-wielding assailant and having mysterious chemicals pumped into him, giving him his shapeshifting powers. Matt’s face changes repeatedly, showing him without an eye or mouth at times, and there is also a shadowy shot of him with the giant, mace-shaped fist from the comics. In the final moments of the preview, set to The Flaming Lips’s “Do You Realize”, Matt sits in a bathtub and wipes away his entire face, losing all features and becoming a clay-textured mess of melting flesh.
