What was analog-era TV like?
shit
>>219930267You watched a lot of subpar slop just because it was on. Atleast here in Canada the Space channel ran rerun episodes of TOS, TNG, DS9 and VOY every day. Most of the rest of the stuff on the air just sucked.
You had to be on time to watch your shit, otherwise you'd miss it.And nobody dumped entire seasons at the same time.Otherwise not much different than now, you wait for stuff to air and watch it and then talk about it at your job/school.
Better.
non-stop ass rape
>>219930267Extremely comfy. It felt like the world was alive and happening around you in real time. Even though the content was prerecorded, knowing that everyone in front of their TVs were all experiencing the same content as you at the exact same moment was extremely connective in a subconscious way. The closest we get now is something like a sports event, or maybe the stranger things finale type content drops, but due to streaming it’s all fractured and the mental collective unconscious is disconnected
Comfy.
>>219931244>>219931342Nostalgia brained retard takes. Streaming is so much fucking better than watching slop because "its all that's on". People still have shared experiences now, it called watching podcasts and live streams and its a million times better because there is a chat room attached.
>>219930267I fucking hated commercials, I'm so glad that age is gone, at least for people with Ublock
member when you just turned the tv on instead of having to connect with wifi and signing up for some stupid shit that takes like half an hour to turn on.member when the tv would glow and be warm and if you touched it you would get a little static electricity member when tvs were giant boxes
