Isn't it funny how people in old movies talk to computers as if they were people, even though that wasn't feasible until like 4 years ago?

>look guys, there's this really old thing called "science fiction" that existed in the 1950s. they talked about advanced AI even though that didn't exist back then! weird huh?
>>
>>219931134
Ah, yes, way back in the ancient age of... less than 20 years ago...

To be fair, in the 90s we called movies from the 70s old. 2026 is just as far removed from 2007 as 1996 was from 1977.

Tony Stark invented LLMs a decade early or something.

Jarvis say the n word

I don't like this post.

Yeah because we were children back then you moron. You're not a child anymore.
>>
the computer in star trek TNG had a weird alien baby thing in one episode
>>
>>219931272
the cutoff for old and not old movies is 1960
>>
>>219931325
I personally think the difference between movies in the 70s and 90s is much more apparent than the difference between movies in the 00s and the 20s. shrek looks really dated though. choppier than a gamecube

For me, it's hitting the monitor when mad at the computer.

>Siri was released as an app for iOS in February 2010. Two months later, Apple acquired it and integrated it into the iPhone 4s at its release on 4 October 2011

The only retard here is you.

Its called science fiction, kiddo. We think stuff up ahead of time and eventually work out how to actually do it
>>
>>219931134
The whole point of science fiction is to imagine future technologies and issues (like contact with aliens) as a sort of preparatory meditation on how we should respond to those things if they happen.
>>
>>219931134
Honestly, I initially didn't like Jarvis being so natural sounding in the first film. It just seemed like too much for him to be able to respond to commands that were delivered in colloquialisms and shit.

I got used to it and it aged very well.

Same goes for Ultron. Although that movie gets shit on, it actually gets better with multiple viewings. I like that he's not 'robotic' in the way he talks and his mannerisms and shit. Actually makes him scarier:

Irony when that azn actress sounds like the fucking robot. She's the worst fucking actress and you can tell she doesn't understand the first thing about the technobabble she's reciting, (not even supposed to mean in-universe). Worst casting ever.

Chatbots have been around for decades, kid.
>>
>>219931325
That's because things actually changed in that time. Barely anything has changed in cinema in the past 20 years besides the stories got worse.

He's a shitty voice actor doing the same voice and mannerisms as his robert california character from the office, are you retarded?
>>
>>219932695
Never saw it. I've only seen that faggot in Stargate. I liked him fine, just the unnecessary stomping around got old fast. I'm guessing that was 'le acting' mocap shit.
>>
>>219932418
It's nothing special but worth a check

Fun fact: New Jerusalem in the Bible and Torah is just a giant floating cube in orbit. Technically a data center. Also Tower of Babel is just a 5G tower. "God" destroyed the tower and everyone lost their AI translator. We are just trying to reverse engineer old tech that was lost during the grand solar maximum event.
