Is Elden Ring like... good? Is it modern? Compared to Dark Souls, Sekiro and Bloodborne, what's so great about it?

Then when you reach Leyndell, you'll think "finally, almost done." Then when you reach the area beyond that, you'll think "holy FUCK is it over yet?" Then there's ANOTHER area after that.
