It's pretty good but you're insane if you think it's better than Breaking Bad. So many boring filler episodes
>>219956080Was breaking bad cringe
>>219956080Again, with the Breaking Bad comparisons.
>>219956080As if Breaking Bad didn't have lots of filler."D-daad, where ya goin? We were gunna h-have breakfast together, you promised. Mom's made the pancakes. W-what about the pancakes?""Sorry Junior, something's come up and I have to go.""Cuh, you ALWAYS do this! You never have time for pancakes now. I muh-miss how it used to be.""We'll have pancakes tomorrow Junior, and it will be just like old times.""LIAR. I huh-hate you!"Compelling and vitally important scenes. You couldn't possibly cut those out. And there was also that riveting subplot about Marie's kleptomania. Pure soap opera filler.
>>219956080Holy filtered
>>219956080Sopranos uses comedy as filler, and breaking bad uses unnecissary tension and drama which is why its less rewatchable
>>219956681Agreed.They are very different from each other.I enjoy both of them.
>>219956681Breaking Bad felt way too fucking forced with its memorable moments. Walter saying "I'AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS" or "Say my name" is far less kino than Tony yelling "HES A FAAAAAAG"
>>219956080Haha. Rewatched both this year. Sopranos is much, much better. Breaking Bad is a bunch of unlikelihoods and conveniences happening to make the plot move forward.
>>219956080What’s with the weird accents?
>>219959040It's because breaking bad had a lot of non-native Spanish speaking actors
>>219956080Alright, but you gotta get over it
>>219956681thisi would never rewatch breaking bad but i am considering rewatching sopranos even though i only watched it less than a year ago
i actually dropped breaking bad after season 4 because i lost interest. like, what's the fucking point?with the sopranos i'm endeared to the characters, especially tony, and there's all sorts of commentary and spiritualism and depth.with breaking bad, the plot is always OH FUCK HOW WILL WALT GET OUT OF THIS ONE but who the fuck cares? it's a show that knows how to keep busy but who cares. i sure don't.
Six feet under is the series to compare to the sopranos… https://youtu.be/XhjOJt6gNLo
breaking bad didn't last for a rewatch, got to season 2 and then just looked up some clips I wanted to see from further ini've seen the sopranos entirely over 10 times, not counting the folder where i ripped the episodes and cut them into pieces and put them on random on a playlist
>>219956080Sopranos is an actual drama. Breaking bad is looney tunes tier cartoony shit
I prefer watching the boys sit around talking about nothing, than the artificial drama breaking bad wrote for each episode as it was being filmed.
>>219956080>s oypranos Fuck off
>>219956080Breaking Bad was fun while it was airing but it has zero rewatch value. it relies a lot on cliffhangers and twists and turns but once you already know what happens it's hard to get invested again.
>>219961529season 3 and 4 is the best of Breaking Bad. getting through the first two seasons can feel a bit slow.
>>219956080>So many boring filler episodesThat's what you get for watching a TV series you fucking pleb. Watch a film if you want an intellectually stimulating experience.
Wire > Sopranos = Six Feet Under > True Detective S1 > Boardwalk Empire > Mad Men > Better Call Saul > Breaking Bad I am yet to watch SuccessionHonourable mention to The Shield but I don’t view it in the same way as the above
>>219956080Breaking Bad is a stupid man's idea of a smart television show. Soprano's is clearly better and goated for starting the tradition of prestige TV. Mad Men mogs BB btw.
>>219961722never seen the wire. i'm afraid i'll hate it because i think the "cycle of poverty and bad culture" shit is retarded. but maybe i can look past it if everything else is entertaining.
