In Scream II, in the cafeteria Sidneys Boyfriend starts to sing I Think I Love You and the black girl friend says "What is he doing?" And Mickey the killer [spoiler/] the film buff says "Tom Cruise, Top Gun 1986."
But in Top Gun, Tom Cruise sang "You've Lost That Loving Feeling." So clearly proof as in the water fountain scene in Scream I

Scream 1 to 4 are the only real Screams. And Scream 3 and 4 are lesser than Scream 1 and II. But I think Scream 2 tells a solid romantic tragedy disguised as a horror film.
