616tony is 100% gone and his soul is never coming back. his endgame snap sent out a multiversal flare just as a botched experiment left victor von doom stranded in a pocket dimension. using the same reincarnation logic from agatha all along doom tracked that infinity stone signal and anchored his soul into the best vessel available which happened to be tonys corpse sitting in a freezer. thanks to tonys memories doom knew he was in the body of a global icon so he used magic to play dead and stay perfectly still through the entire funeral. doctor strange felt something off during the service but just chalked it up to residual energy from the stones. once ppl leave doom crawls out to start his mission.he pilots the body with magic similar to what strange did in MoM but without needing the darkhold. but this isnt dreamwalking since tony isnt a doom variant. the physical form is dead so doom has to rely on a cocktail of sorcery and tech to stop the corpse from rotting. the real mess is psychological because tonys physical brain and wiring are still there. doom is basically running his software on tonys hardware so he is forced to think through tonys neural pathways and ends up inheriting tony traits, good and bad. so we have an erratic monster where doom is mashed up with "tony". half of him honestly wants to stop incursions but he's still secretly taking steps to take over "just in case". sue storm thinks he is being manipulated by sum outside influence but shes wrong because his brain is just at war with itself.this frankenstein existence makes doom miserable and he decides the only way to find peace is to put the multiverse into an infinite tsukiyomi. he uses wanda to build battleworld which is a massive version of the westview hex. he wants to block out the pain and delete tonys leftovers so he can just be doom. the avengers end up having to snap doom out of this delusion by overclocking tonys neural pathways to trigger a total system crash in his head.
