So I went back and watched the OTHER Superman movie directed by a Marvel pedophile and... its not bad? Maybe its through the power if hindsight but it was perfectly serviceable as a superhero movie. Were people just too harsh?
>>219973902It’s a complete rehash of the first Reeve film without its soul. Nearly 2 decades of no Superman movies and THIS was the best they could’ve came up with?
>>219974020I mean given what's come out since....
>>219973902I always liked it.btw Bryan Singer made secretly a new movie, which is in theaters now
>>219974138>thousands of films to pick from>durr... Imma gonna watch Supaman reternsDo better.
>>219973902It was safe and boring although it has a few great scenes
>>219973902I actually like this one too. But the plot feels like a Superman TV episode, not a Superman movie.
>>219973902Wrong
>>219973902The earlier part was peak Superman.A pity about the other 95%Well at least it's much better than snydershit
>>219974272It's worth watching just for the scene where Lex Luthor screams "WROOOONG!"
I unironically don't remember anything from this movie, not a single scene
>>219974272>decades of no superman movies and this was their best?>Man of Steel and Superman Legacy have come out since then>you have thousands of movies to pick fromWe're talking about Superman
The best Superman movie is Superman III. This is unlikely to change in the future.
>>219973902>its not badWROOOOONG
>>219975362I can remember the great plane scene. I can also remember the bullet to the eye scene. Hell i can even remember Kate Beckinsale taking off her shoes and flying with Superman. So thats three more scenes than I remember from the latest Superman movie. https://youtu.be/wucJ9_aCJf8
>>219973902Protip: Most people have zero genuine opinions on the media they mindlessly consume because they are MINDLESSLY consuming it.Whoever shouts the loudest first and manages to get some people seemingly agreeing with them will cause a chain reaction where the majority of the population will simply parrot that opinion ad nauseum to not stand out from the herd because that would mean having to defend their opinion which they can't do as they have no real opinion of their own on the subject. They simply don't care, but want to feel like they do and that they care in the "correct" way. This applies to all media which is why somewhere down the line you might suddenly see a shift in public opinion on something which initially seemed to have a very strong "consensus" on whether it was good or bad.In one on one interactions, all it usually takes to convince someone that you're view on the movie is better, is to just present your arguments logically and calmly. Some people are desperate to defend "their" opinion but it will crumble pretty quickly if it's not a real opinion. Some however are so desperate to fit in in the first place that they loudly proclaim their spoonfed opinion as superior in everyway while hiding away in the crowd and so when they're confronted with good points that contradict their opinion they will get angry or spiral immediately into denial rather than face the embarassment of having been so extremely confidently incorrect. In short, who gives a fuck what other people think. It's just a movie.
>>219973902It had as much action as the Incredible Hulk. Which is to say not that much. So for something based on a series called "Action Comics" that kind of sucks. Now DC have been trying to fix this since Man of Steel but the story tends to suffer. Not that the story in Superman Returns is especially good but its better than Legacy
>Superman as a deadbeat dad No thanks.
>>219975471Very well said
>>219975450>So thats three more scenes than I remember from the latest Superman movie.or any superman movie made after Returns.tbf I remember scenes from SM 25, but non of them are from SM himself
>>219975471Often things look worse than they really are. Its only upon retrospection that we realise there was nothing to fear
>>219973902it's the best
no it's a really bad movie it's really dumb
>>219973902Superman is a pervertSuperman is a cuckold
>>219973902Before streaming, “serviceable” meant “waste of time.”
>>219975319I can’t remember what lex luthor’s schemes were in the reeves movies but they weren’t as abjectly moronic as >i will destroy all the nations and then they will pay me to live on my new continent
>>219973902>a gram of kryptonite is enough to render him powerless and writhe in pain on the ground>proceeds to lift 5 billion ton island laced with the stuffThat's about all I remember from it
>>219974020The best they came up with was the Smallville tv series. But it was too 2000s and producers were afraid of doing anything too different from Reeve on a big budget film.

Supercuck got beaten up by Pajeet Kumar
ive watched this and man of steel and both were just mid to me. superman is just boring.
Brandon Routh is still the best Superman to me.
It's an alright movie with some cool scenes like the plane rescue, eye bullet and fall from the sky/hospital scenes. But it spent too much time on unnecessary stuff. Like half of the scenes of Lex Luther dicking around could have been cut and I did not really care for Lois' relationship with her cuck husband. The love triangle wasn't even really resolved in the end anyway and it did not create all that much tension. All of the action sequences around Lex' new crystal island were ugly and not much fun either. That part of the movie is a tangled mess. I would have preferred to see more scenes between Clark and his son. Or just more scenes with the son in general.
Sometimes I wonder how that nic cage superman would have turned out. Best we could get was a cameo in the Flash
>>219974211Not in any theater near me
>>219973902This is the same vein of trolling as saying the ang lee hulk was a good movie
There's exactly one great Superman movie. But even at 9 minutes, it's still a little too long.
>>219975396Is she meant to be the nanite character in the 2025 movie?
>>219973902You have low standards
>>219973902>Superman movie directed by a Marvel pedophileWhich one?
>>219982924That character didn't exist at the time of Moopersan III
