I mean still to this day you have people insisting that TFA

TFA was total dogshit but TLJ was the true nails in the coffin point of no return

it's been nine years can we please talk about something else

My main problem with this movie, it's director and also the handful of people defending it. Is that instead of actually doing something differently this time in a Star Wars movie. They just went all in with the "subverting expectations" as if their life depended on it. They set things up so the audience expects something will happen and then 180 that shit. Repeat this for 50 times and you got The Last Jedi.

People rightfully so, called them out for it. And people on the other side of fence went: "Well, at least it's something different for once." Except it isn't because all the setups are exactly the same, only the outcome is different for the sake of it being different. Nothing ground breaking or unique plot points have been made.

The first 5 seconds of the FA teaser trailer killed it dead.

> NEVER!!!

The Last Jedi isn't actually advocating for letting the past die or subversive, subjective morality, that was something retarded brand consoomers and reactionary culture warriors projected onto the movie because they have a toddler's engagement with the movies, where they just want to see an epic action figure that they self-insert into beat up the bad guys and be epic

Nah, the force awakens already fucking sucked. Anything short of Rey gets killed and Kyle Katarn saves the galaxy would have sucked

We will never stop talking about the sheer incompetence surrounding Disney’s Star Wars. They actively targeted an imaginary demographic that wanted to like Star Wars but hated all the previously existing characters and movies.

There *might* have been a chance that they could redeem things after TFA, but it was almost irredeemable. They would have had to course-correct almost everything they had set up.
>>
Disney had billions of dollars to spend and somehow it never occurred to them to spend money to hire the best writer and the best director. Instead they insisted the directors also write them which is retarded.

lucas being a stubborn retard killed star wars. should have done sequels in 1999 and come back around for the prequels to flesh out backstories for vader and the sequel villian.

The entire sequel trilogy sucked, not just 8, not just 8 and 9. People simply had an optimism with 7 because a new hope was already pretty slow(and the best film of the OT)

Why do they always pick the niggerest of niggers?

Black culture got a patch, so they don't like well spoken or light skinned blacks. Childish Gambino went from well spoken whitewashed black guy to full on NEGRO for like 8-10 years during his "This is America" "Atlanta" run. Now he's Yoshi and back to being the same well spoken white washed black guy that blacks hate
