This movie gets dumber every time I watch it.

I'm just going to take this jug of tap water out to this crime scene that is littered with the bodies of dead Mexican drug dealers. Yeah, I know it's the middle of the night and I already got two firearms and a case full of cash from this crime scene. I might get caught by Mexicans and shot in the back and have to leave my truck for a hitman to find but that's ok.

Anton Nigurh

It was like the jug of water scene had to be added in so it would make Chigurh finding him much easier.
Without Chigurh tracking him from the truck VIN he most likely would have never been found and he and Carla Jean could have enjoyed $2 million dollars.

How dare you question Cormac McCarthy

Speaking of which, how did the Mexicans find him? They were waiting for him in the same motel.

Never gave an explanation for that or why the woman in the pool was also shot.
He had dumped the transponder at the hotel that Anton found him in so it wasn't that way.

The end shooting was his mother in laws fault for telling a well dressed mexican where they were going.

In the movie, the year is 1980, and the quarter is dated 1958. It took 22 years (approximately) for the quarter to arrive at the gas station. The quarter will decide life or death.

When you look carefully at the mother-in-law's headstone as she's being buried, her dates are given as follows: 1922-1980. So, she lived (about) 58 years. Not particularly old. The headstone dates are a clear reversal of the quarter scene.

I have this stupid cringe headcanon idea. Accounting closes his eyes, so that it is literally true that he is not looking at Anton in the present tense as he answers. "No." He hears a coin flip, a moment passes, and he opens his eyes. Wide shot: Accounting is alive, by himself in the office, next to the man's dead body. Incredibly stupid, I know.

Le Unstoppable Le Evil is a Coen trope. Like the big Mad Max guy in Raising Arizona (who is played for more humorous effect).

>it's a coen trope

>last night I had two dreams
>in the first one, I was standing in a grassy field and planes were falling out of the sky.
>in the second one, I was riding my horse through a snowy mountain pass. I was trying to get to a calculus class to take a final exam, despite never having been to that class all semester. My father rode by, he was carrying fire in a horn. He turned to me and said, “you’re 70 years old and you never went to college”
>then I woke up
