>>219988412The first webm I ever downloaded was this scene, it was always titled 'Bratt Pitt is full of wine'
How did he not notice the tracker it doesn't make sense
The auto-garrote is a prime example of a super cool concept wasted on a mediocre flick. Legally, creators should be allowed to take the idea and put into a movie that doesn’t suck.
>>219988412Realistically speaking, what would you do in this situation?
>>219988412>The Councilor (2013)>written by Cormac McCarthy >directed by Ridley Scott>all star cast Michael Fassbender, Penepole Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt>the only thing that impacted culture at all was a 2 minute death scene
>>219989589destroy the tiny little motor that is tightening the wire
>>219989732I didn't even know this film existed until the Wesker memes started being posted here. It’s actually kind of impressive, flying under the radar with names like that.
>>219988412Set it and forget it.
>>219989765The point is that it's strong enough that you can't overpower it, and the motor is probably enclosed in such a way that you can't access and break it. At least not while fighting the wire at the same time
every time someone makes a "worst movie ever" thread, I mention this movie>>219989732this is the reason, mccarthy and scott had an all star cast and made a pile of shitCameron Diaz trying in vain to recite McCarthy prose at the end like some type of criminal mastermind was one of the worst things I've ever seen on film. Almost as bad as Bardem's retarded character
>>219989589make a mental note to myself to, after i survive the encounter, travel back in time and sabotage the motor in the device so that it turns off the moment i make that mental note
Javier Bardem absolutely sucks in this. Terrible casting. Also only watch the director's cut.
>>219988412This scene is why I have finger nail clippers on my keychain.
>ridiculous gizmo that literalises the storyPure Hack McCarthy>>219990715The point is that the force necessary for that wire to cut through flesh and bone is enormous compared to the power such a small motor is capable of generatingYou'd have to miniaturise a much larger battery and engine, it's ludicrous, it's science fiction at best
>>219991277That's right, it's a mechanically impossible fictional device. Which means you wouldn't make it out of the situation by breaking it, if you were there
>>219991108His faggot lisp ruins everything he is in.
>>219991321Actually I'd carry a pair of mechanically impossible fictional bolt cutters, so fuck you
>>219989589Realistically this situation would never happen because it's a lot easier and cheaper to just shoot or stab the person rather than use an overly complicated device that just kills them a lot slower and less reliably.
>>219991712Anon. It’s a cartel murder.
>>219991156
If he was wearing his Stetson like he was most of the film this would have been more difficult to pull off.
>>219989589Carry a gun because I'm American and shoot the motor and then mag dump the wannabe assassins as they run away
>>219991712Sometimes its about the message. A slow death sends one.
>>219989589
>>219988412>pulls out multitool>*clip*easy as
>hello, I'm Chris Hanson and welcome to Catching a Predator. Our subject is a 45 year old businessman that law enforcement continues to ignore our pleas to be apprehended. So today we are taking measures into our own hands.
the power required to cut through someone's spine and decapitate their head is like a buzz saw. your 1 pound magic motor wouldnt work . it was a terrible scene that plebs love because they masturbate to bad gore he should have been stabbed or shot instead
>>219994744what about gearing tho
>>219994744you don't need to decapitate them fully in order to kill them.
>>219990836>Almost as bad as Bardem's retarded characterThe character is based on a real person who was even dumber in real life. McCarthy lived and worked around El Paso and most of the characters in the film are based on real people who were involved in the cocaine trade in the '80s. This is one of his few works where he actually tries to be grounded in reality. People bitch about this movie, but it's much more realistic about how drug trafficking works than shit like Sicario, No Country For Old Men or Breaking Bad. It still has his trademark absurd symbolism, but it's grounded.
