IRL his hair hair would have been in his eyes, covering his face, and ending up in his mouth all the time. Long hair is completely impractical in physically demanding situations, especially if not tied back.
>>
>>220003334
thats why he should wear a hat
>>
>>220003334
ok?
>>
>>220003334
ok zoom zoom
>>
it's not a big deal, i'm a long hair jacked chad, you can train your hair, plus he did a middle part which helps
he also wouldnt have proper hair care products so his hair would get thick with oils etc and more likely to stick to the side with their weight and training
>>
I have long hair and yeah it is often convenient to wear a hat or tie my hair but it's not that big a deal.
Our ancient ancestors probably rarely if ever cut their hair before they invented blades but they survived well enough even without swords with which to battle wolves and bears and such.
>>
>>220003410
you are a lil twink
>>
>>220003422
>it's not that big of a deal
>t. never does anything physically demanding or even goes outside
>>
>>220003422
Yea but they probably wore hats back then
>>
Damn, you lotrcringe fags really must have your general to spam and not shitting the board
>>
>>220003466
Well I do live in a house.
What do you think our ancient ancestors did about their hair?
>>
>>220003441
i'm gorilla mode
>>220003490
if they didnt have blades you can just bite the hair off, not all of it but the stuff in front of your face. plus whatever sexy prehistoric ape wife they have could help too with grooming
>>
>>220003490
tie it back or cut it. after a while the frustration of having hair all over their face every time they bent over or the wind blew probably made them just rip it out by hand.
>>
he tied it back you idiot
>>
>>220003538
>in only one of the movies
>also still leaving the hair on the sides not tied, which is the hair that would be in his face anyways
>>
>>220003519
You could do that. I'm not suggesting that it would be impossible to shorten your hair without blades but I am suggesting that biting it was probably not a common practice.

Could OP BE anymore bald?
>>
>>220003474
Or helmets.
A number of warriors wore their hair long such as the Spartans and the Cavaliers. Compared with the Romans who always had their hair short.
>>
>>220003598
i'm speaking from experince having long hair.
>>
>>220003538
Now post the fight at weathertop where it wasn't tied. Or any other scene where it wasn't. You pick literally the only scene where he has it tied in 3 movies.
>>
>>220003538
I can't believe we thought this goofy shit was kino in the 00s.
>>
>>220003741
Was more of a skirmish at Weathertop, if gandalf wasn't late it would have been a fight

See as soon as he washes his hair in the movie he ties it up, before he had natural grease support, like this guy said>>220003410
>>
>>220004328
grease doesn't prevent your hair from moving. it would still get in his face while moving quickly, bending over, or in windy conditions.
>>
>>220003812
Its got some weird stuff, mostly due to having a female writer, and jackson being retarded. But still great
>>
>>220004359
>tfw unlike popular belief vikings and medieval people had goofy bowlcuts likely for this reason
>>
Is Aragorn a Gary Stu?
>>
>>220003334
He's a Dunedan, they're a different race and their hair grows differently.
>>
>>220004506
OP BTFO
>>
>>220003601
Weren't they usually wearing wigs though?
>>
>>220004565
I believe that's a later style with all the powdered stuff but regardless, long hair has been in fashion at different times in different places.

pre stone age..?
>>
>>220004849
pre stone age they probably had disguting matted dreadlocks, which would look terrible but at least be easier to keep out of your face.

Just grow out the back and sides.
>>
>>220003334
In the book he had a retinue of dozens of guys pampering him all the time. the character as shown makes more sense with lax hair care
>>
>>220008543
>he had a retinue of dozens of guys pampering him all the time
no
>>
>>220008866
he did for his entire life prior to meeting frodo which is why people claim he should have hair accurate to a medieval warrior king
>>
>>220005007
That's genius
>>
>>220003334
>>220003538
>>220004328
>>220004444
People used to put all sorts of stuff in their hair. beer, eggs, vodka, honey, sugar, salt to control its shape (not all at the same time) plus the fact that not using shampoo will eventually make your hair strands stick together. I don't recommend avoiding washing completely though, it'll make you smell like a hobo eventually.
>>
>>220008899
no he didn't retard he was a ranger
>>
>>220009039
he was the air of isildur
>>

and there were hundreds of them all living together at ranger school
