Ive always been fascinated by meta stuff as well as audience participation/tie in media.For example the cloverfield websites, portal arg ect.I want a movie that is different with every viewing. It has multiple scenes and certain aspects are randomised with each viewing. Also a part of audience participation allows for “joining the dots” so to speak revealing a bigger picture.The format would be something like bandersnatch with third party stuff like websites and media that allows an audience to further “unlock” the final and ultimate version of the film. The entire film would be a horror with metacontextual aspects like house of leaves. I want to make something that gives the viewers an experience of “i am part of this now.” one of the aspects of “the ring” that made it captivating.Some scenes would be entirely recontextualised when the viewers understands more about the media. I want there to be a moment of utter terror and revelation where it all “clicks.” The “morley man” youtube arg depicting a slenderman info-hazard that removes physical depictions and memories of children when it abducts them is another inspiration.I want a movie that is basically an interactive infohazard.

Filmmakers need the equivalent of Steam: a convenient streaming platform where audiences can pay to buy/rent big hollywood films and small indie films in the same place.It's even worse because in the era of vibe coding, a million indie streaming sites keep popping up but they all try and imitate netflix subscriptions to the whole platform with dumb practices where you get paid a certain amount depending on watch time.We just need a trusted place to put up our films where anyone can come along and buy/rent them. That's it.
