>>220026517How do you “see” younger people when you’re Buscemi’s age? He’s acting like she’s a small child showing him something, does he see her as a 10 year old?
>>220026517I met Emo Phillips backstage of a Weird Al concert once and scared the shit out of him, I’d cut my hand open leaving my seat somehow and was heading to the bathroom mid-show and I saw him on the way, he was clearly shellshocked by COVID still so he was walking around in a mask and avoiding people (this was Oct 2022 so we’re a bit past the peak of the pandemic by this point). I approach and say “hey, aren’t you the guy who opened for Weird Al?” and he was scared shitless and backed off immediately, like his body flew up against the wall in total panic. My dumbass doesn’t pick up on him wanting to be left alone and I ask if he’d be up for a picture. I meant with me but he just posed instead and held his arms up, which I found out later is a signature of his but at the time I didn’t understand why he was doing it and felt like I had the poor fucker at gunpoint. It’s at this point I realize I’m scaring the poor man and just sullenly say “I’m so sorry” and walk off and in the background I hear “No, don’t be-“ I get to the bathroom and finally notice my hand and it is literally gushing blood, like it’s spilling on the fucking floor. So it was either COVID spooking him or my massive gaping wound this entire time and I was none the wiser.Sorry Emo lol
I fucked Jena Malone several times through the back half of 2006 through to the summer 2007

>>220026532I hooked up with her 3 times in LA in 2002. Met her while working as a catering barback at an event she was attending. I was seriously good looking back then and she hit on me hard the whole night. Basically, she ordered me to leave early and go back to her hotel with her. It was fucking worth it. She’s a great lay.

I saw Ryan Gosling at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I've worked for the same production company for over 20 years at this point and all you have to do is show up and keep your head down and you'll get promoted. 9 times out 10 people on this side are looking to get into writing, directing or acting, so if that's not your thing you can go from being a gofer to the assistant of someone who actually matters within 2/3 years. >Are you deep into it?Pretty deep. >>220026517I met Gillian Anderson when I was a kid while they were still in the regular releases of the series.I thought she was really pretty as a kid, think she's a goddess now.
>>220027982>How are directors “scouted”? Why did you get offers? I always wonder why certain directors and actors have a hard time getting projects off the ground, but then some nobody seems to do it with little effort. It's literally just knowing people, or being related to them. In some cases, fucking somebody. That's basically it. If you're the assistant to someone important for years, like 5+ years, you meet everyone they meet and a lot of times end up having 10 minute phone calls with a studio VP or a decently famous actor.Actors, and I literally mean most actors, have multiple scripts they've written or at least one-sheeted, and they're usually pretty lame, but if they're super into it and super dumb they will try to rope you into the project in some capacity if they know you, and I'm pretty familiar with a lot actors.>Why is not telling actors where to get drugs a good thing? They can’t find any without you so they remain sober?Whenever an actor has a meltdown or some OD scare or gets a DUI, and if it hurts production in meaningful way like a shooting delay, it's almost always going to be a production assistant who gets punished for it. Especially with younger (like sub-25) actors, you're sometimes expected to be their babysitter essentially and you have to keep them from getting trashed or fucking too much or bring their boyfriend/girlfriend on set if they're known to have crazy arguments. We have dossiers on people and I know of multiple instances where studios have sent people to show at a guy's apartment and beat his ass so he'll break up with an actress and stop distracting her from her work. But that's not to say nobody's doing drugs, nobody cares about coke or shit like that, it's the depressants that we have to watch out for.

>>220028143Really cool, thanks. Good to hear someone making good money not scamming and not getting totally fucked. I guess it's too easy to get partying with someone more important and then getting shafted or having to pay some 50k$ whiskey bottle?
>>220028285Yeah, I'm aware of that happening, and I know of someone who got fired for charging shit to their production company while bankrolling an actor at a club, and in the grand scheme of things it wasn't even that much money. They probably could've gotten away with it if they'd been working for longer, or they would've been smarter about it in the first place.

When I was younger, I had a dead end job as a janitor at a mall. It wasn’t too bad, I just went around emptying bins and mopping up spilled bubble teas. Anyway, this weird intense man only a few years older than me showed up out of nowhere and used to follow me around. At first he would try to get me to agree to meet him after my shift in the parking lot, so we could fight.I would try to ignore him, but when he realised he wasn’t getting to me, he started saying he had a knife in his pocket and he was going to stab me. So I spoke to security but they said there was nothing they could do about it. He hadn’t done anything wrong yet. I quit that job, and did my best to forgot all about it, until one day I went to see Avatar, and fuck me, he was playing the main character. I had to walk out (ruining the date I was on) and that was when I realised I actually have PTSD from him. A quick google let me know his name and acting credits. This all happened in late 2004 early 2005. So before he started getting momentum with movie roles like Rogue. I’ve heard it’s good, and normally I love creature features, but seeing him on screen is still too much for me. None of you will believe Sam Worthington used to stalk, intimidate and harass me, but it’s true. I’ve tried mounting a case against him now but his lawyers are too good. My life is mostly so much better than it was back then. It’s probably better than his now, because he inspired me to go back to school and stop being around deadshits like him. I have a good career, a beautiful wife and three kids. But every so often I accidentally see him on tv or in a trailer and it ruins the rest of my week. I wish I could forget the absolutely strung out way he used to stare at me while I worked but I just can’t.

I'm weirded out by famous people party scene as they are businesses as people and have to act clean yet do the craziest shit. Like how is some garage techno few times a year just not enough even though I know why it's not enough.
>>220028734Not to be racist, and this probably won't be surprising, but oyung black actors are the worst. Particularly if they have any kind of rap background. They always bring more hangers-on than can be properly managed, they're twice as inconsiderate as "other" actors, who can already be rude as it is. Older black actors are perfectly fine to deal with, but basically "YN" is gonna be a problem.

>>220026517When you live in Los Angeles, you randomly come across actors here and there, especially rising and falling stars. Filmmakers are a bit different because most of them aren't recognizable and there are endless aspiring filmmakers that haven't done shit. I'm assuming "filmmaker" is a director or producer. If you expand it to crew, it's difficult to not know some of them as most are normies who live in the same normie type neighborhood you do. Off the top of my head, when I lived in LA, I spoke to Kelsey Grammer, Frankie Avalon, Maureen McCormick, "Nitro", Wings Hauser, and Sam Kinison. Saw lots of other celebrities but didn't speak to them.
There's a chance Hugh Jackman came to my church's fundraising car wash in the summer of 2000. I remember a charming guy on a motorcycle coming through who said he was an actor in a few small things. Nobody knew how to wash a motorcycle so he basically did it himself all while chatting with us. Maybe he was in the US doing press for X Men. In all likelihood it was some actual nobody, but my head canon says Hugh Jackman.

>>220028143>>220027792Wait, you can sleep with (old) ladies for gigs? Most directors aren’t particularly attractive, does being hot help anyway?
>>220029785Celebrities get used to people saying weird stuff like that (prasing them for some really obscure film for example) and they can't know if it's serious or trolling so a good-natured laugh covers both bases pretty well.

Steve Martin.I was in a local healthy/expensive type supermarket here in College Station, Texas(we have a lot of those) and I'm in line to buy some ham at the deli there. The lady asked me what kind, and I said "I have no fucking idea what different kinds of ham there are lady" ENTIRELY to loudly and the guy behind me in line I hadn't noticed burst the hell up laughing.I turn around. Steve Martin. He kinda half leans around me and says "Honey glazed!" to the lady over the counter and I just kinda stare at him for a sec then smile and say thanks. I'm about to pay for it and he says "No way this one's on me" and pays the check for it right there. I was astounded, it was so awesome that I did the only thing I could think of ... The Three Amigos salute. Once again he cracks up and asked me if I had any idea how long it had been since someone did that. I said "a year?" he said "try ten".We ended up having coffee at a place across the street. Turns out he bought a house in Monticeto, a really expensive residensial area in SB, and has been living there a while. We talked about everything that wasn't his career for about 45 minutes before he had to take off because his deli stuff was gonna go bad. I shook his hand and said he made my year today. He smiled and beat my head in with a tire iron. I looked up from the floor, my eyes covered in my own blood as I made out a blury image of an anvil being hoisted above his head. Through the ringing in my ears I couldn't hear his probably witty parting line before the anvil came crashing down, ending my life.

Not me, but one of my friends has one of the coolest meeting celebrity stories I've ever heard. When he was a kid, he went with his parents to a theme park, but he couldn't go to the Ghostbusters stage show because he has asthma and they use fog or something. Ernie Hudson happened to be there that day, and when he heard there was this little kid who was so disappointed, he came out and showed his friend his own inhaler and they talked about ghosts and stuff.

He led me down to the basement, and that’s when I saw her.She was completely naked, on her hands and knees, on top of a large blue tarp. A single bare lightbulb swung from the ceiling, and two massive football players were fucking her, one in the ass and one in the mouth. Her eyes were rolled into the back of her head, and she was covered in semen. The words “COCKGOBBLER” were scrawled on her forehead in permanent marker. The one fucking her in the mouth bust a nut down her throat, and she swallowed it all. She then started screaming “FUNNY POWDER, FUNNY POWDER” over and over at the top of her lungs. The guy that led me in handed me a ceramic plate covered in cocaine and instructed me to blow some in her face. I bent down in front of her and she coughed up a huge glob of cum onto the tarp and looked at me in the eyes, all while still being fucked in the ass. I grabbed a handful of cocaine and placing it in my palm, I blew it in her face. I had tears in my eyes and silently mouthed “but you were in iCarly”. I stood up and another massive jock took my spot and started ramming her in the mouth. I then tried to leave but the guy who took me to the room told me “you have to stay until all the coke is gone lardlungs”. I sobbed for the next 3 hours doing my duty until all the men were satisfied and she was passed out in a pool of jizz.It was the worst night of my life.

>>220026517I met Stephen Baldwin when I was 9 or 10, he showed up to the small town church I went to and he was an hour late.I had to try really, really hard not to sperg out about him being in what I deemed at the time funny "Viva Rock Vegas" movie, my parents told me not to make a big deal and be respectful.
>>220055093Snood??? What was she like?

>>220026517Kurt Russell was really nice to me but seemed to feel his career hadn’t been what he had hoped.
>>220026658That's amazing. I watched an episode of Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist yesterday that had him, Marc Maron, and Bob Odenkirk as guests. That show is a time capsule of 90s standup. Definitely worth a watch.
>>220026517I accidentally stumbled onto an active film set at Stone Mountain park in Atlanta, Georgia a few years ago and I could never find out afterwards what show it was for. I've tried multiple times to figure out but there's no like carmdb type website for shooting locations as far as I'm aware. It was set in the 60s (they had a bunch of 60s cars parked out front which is what we first saw so we thought there was some event going on) and they were filming a police shootout/raid at the museum there. Some crew member pulled me and my sister into the building to get us out of frame and we watched out the window as they shot a take then we got kicked out.
>At a con>Sitting down a quiet side area with friends to chill out because ones got a migraine>Michael Rooker comes sauntering down>Couple see him and appraoch with like 7 year old kid dressed like Yondu from GotG>Rooker picks the kid up and goes "hows it goin' little man?">Kid goes "why did yondu have to die?">He laughs and goes "din't you see the ending son? he went up into the stars, Yondu loves you boy, and he's always gonna be watching our for you">Kid gives him a hug, parents thank him and move on>Rooker sees us watching>"Thats why i do this job boys, that an' all that fuckin' money">Puts on sunglasses and cowboy hat and saunters off to disappear into the crowd

I peed next to Phil LaMarr during the intermission of the Pee-Wee Herman broadway show in 2011. I went to a weird bathroom in the basement and he was in his full Cowboy Curtis getup at a urnial. No idea why he wasn't at a backstage bathroom but the badement area was empty and it was just me and him in the bathroom. It was weird as fuck (no I did not look at it I was 14 years old)
>>220026701Blessed, very blessed.
>>220059638Should've asked him if he played Henry Lee Lucas for the same reason lol

>>220059169Guy's a legend, very few people can claim to have a such an enduring, life-long career. Sure he may not have reached quadruple A super star status, but very few do.Guess you're always comparing yourself to the other guy no matter what.

Nobody has ever met Taylor Swift.
>>220026517> see casting call for some movie where Arnold is on a plane that crashes and loses his memory or something> I have that day off anyway> go > Arnold is walking through hallways with extras> decide to stare him down for no reason> he smiles me at me, I feel like an idiot> go do my extra thing as murse> director kicks me out> his helper tells me I didn't look friendly enough> sit around> get paid $50> meet all the chuds thinking they will become actors and see how set stuff worksIt's really interesting seeing systems when not involved in them. Like I worked at a factory to pay for college and I could drive the forklift on this wet metal bridge thing and the factory director yelled at me, threatened to fire me and I didn't give a single shit since I was going back to school in 3 days anyway. He didn't even know that I wasn't licensed on the forklift but they had no one else, so I would drift it with boxes of metal hinges for doors.
>>220026517I saw Guy fieri in Leavenworth Washington. it's an all German themed tourist town.Lots of authentic German restaurants.Bitches love that town
