the tone shift in season 6 is insane. they are just going full goof now
Season 6 is peak, season 7 is where they go into good-off mode in the last couple episodes.
Yeah. S1 to S5 are good, including the first movie. After that the quality nose dive happens. I still like S6 for some of the camp and Scully looks peak there.

And sunny LA sucks as a location for a spooky mystery series

Seasons 1-4 are near perfect. 5 is half-n-half, some good some bad and then it mostly just nosedives in quality from 6 and onwards. On my rewatches I just do 1-4.
