That's why making zombies realistic never works
Best zombie movies are ones where the zombies are raised from the dead through magic

Trying to enforce decomposition rules and hyper realistic survival aspects ruined zombie movies. A bunch of “erm achtually” nerds came in and decided to make zombies “realistic”. I don’t know who is asking for realism in fantasy/science fiction but they need to stop.
>>

they would be nothing but a puddle after just one summer here in Florida
>>
>>220033727
According to zombie science laws, zombies do not decompose periodically as would normally be expected. In fact, in many plots, it takes several decades for decomposition to show any significant change in the walking dead. So much time that even future generations still deal with the original dead, almost intact!!

there's a worrying number of people smart enough to point out that zombie movies aren't realistic yet not smart enough to understand that it's an utterly inane complaint

After dealing with my local sheriff's office while trying to get someone served with papers for small-claims court, I can absolutely see zombies overwhelming the organized military forces.

At one point a woman from the sheriff's office tried to serve ME the papers and got mouthy when I tried to make her understand that I was the one who filed the papers and that she was supposed to be serving them to the other party. When she eventually realized how wrong she was, she tried to play it off as "just getting everything sorted out."

Is there even any zombie stories like this? Even ones that try to be realistic like with "infected" still forget that they're just people who have lost their minds and should still have to eat, sleep and be susceptible to the elements let alone actual undead who would in reality be really weak and decomposing.
>>
why don’t people just swim into the ocean? zombies can’t swim right?
>>
>>220036363
28 days later had them starve/freeze at the end but I guess they did away with that in the sequels
>>
>>220036379

Even 28 Days Later could've better explained how they survived even a month. I guess the ones that lie still could be sleeping, but they seem uninterested in eating and drinking.
>>
>>220036379
Then you get zombie sharks retard.
>>
>>220033727
Laws of nature don't apply to zombies, duh. Otherwise they wouldn't move at all because they're dead.
>>

Americans are obsessed with realism
It's why they love biopics so much
>>
>>220036363
Walking Dead was all about survival instead of zombies.

Walking Dead was about milking a cow to death.

There was a cool web novel called "Empire" about a world where the zombie virus spread to other animals with a lot of cool zombie animal scenes, like some zombie sparrows attacking a live sparrow, or a group of human survivors on a small boat who get surrounded by a pod of zombie dolphins.

Dunno if it's still hosted anywhere.

A zombie virus that infects all animals sounds fucked up, how can mankind even survive something like that?
Also, that reminds me of Gyo.
>>
what annoys me about zombie movies is how no one is really scared of them
zombies should be the scariest thing ever and people should be constantly scared a zombie is nearby and be unable to sleep
some should be hiding in random places waiting for a target. they should be there for so long that shit starts growing off of them for camouflage.
some should be very sneaky and know when/where people are sleeping and only target them at they are asleep.
most should just be stupid and walk slowly towards whoever is closest but there should be an infinite amount of them
only the human infected should look like humans and be truly killable, the rest should be like that image from that spooky book and always return even if thrown into a black hole
the only way to defeat the zombies is for all the humans to die

Erm actually those were just rage infected, not the undead. they were shown to FUCK and give birth. I don't make the rules I just follow them.

You don't need to be very smart to point that out. Some of them probably didn't even realize it themselves it was just pointed out to them by a friend or a youtube video.

I'll just call the police if they don't do what I say and work in the best interest of all humankind even if their life is at risk in the process

And it's a really dumb complaint. It's like saying Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts, Freddy Krueger and Jason aren't realistic. Wow, you really thought that was insightful? So what?

They did have all of that and had a whole city defended from the Undead for many years. But the zombies evolved to become smart and defeat the human's fortifications when they got complacent.
>>
>>220043893
If they tried the writer would just make it all go wrong anyway.

Yes, that's how stories work. They're only interesting if there's conflict and crisis. Why would you watch a zombie movie where everything went perfectly swell?
>>
>>220044006
If they used their time fortifying their base, they wouldn't get annihilated just because zombies could swim
>>
>>220044056
It can still go wrong but at least don't make the survivors look braindead.
99% of zombies deaths are these sudden zombie jump scares where they bite someone for a second and they get pushed back, easily avoidable with some protection but they'll still die if overwhelmed.
Rick's group could have killed the dozens of zombies that are always on their fence with zero risk, but that wouldn't help when the schizo governor shows up with a tank.
>>
>>220044094
Because it's entertaining to watch competent people do difficult things.
>>
>>220033770
I mean 28 days was a good one, though there'd be way more people alive/not infected. even in a big city, there'd be enough food and supplies to live for months with some scavenging.
>>
>>220044381
but there's not enough women, so gang rape would be rampant
>>
>zombie movie
>people aren't fucking the hot intact zombies
>>
>>220042839
that was pretty good
>>
...isn't that why zombies move slowly and use sheer numbers to overpower?
>>
>>220033727
28 Days Later did that before retard logic took hold to force multiple sequels.
