In a strange way it reminded me a lot of the Star Wars prequels lmao. Cool ideas, cool visuals, strange and stilted execution. I like that it was made though. If you watch the behind the scenes you’ll see its basically a bunch of confused people trying to figure out what this insane old man wants and kind of looking at each other like “are we sure about this?” then saying fuck it he made the Godfather this has to work. Like they spent an entire day trying to do this effect on his face with a projector because Coppola didnt want to use digital effects then in the end it looked so bad that they had to just do digital effects on top of it to make it look better and it still doesnt look great. The movie itself is ambitious and interesting but every aspect of the filmmaking from the acting to the look feels like nobody knew what they were doing
