We'll never get KINO of this magnet tood again, will we?
>>
They are kino
>>
These are the only Jason Statham films I've enjoyed, and that's probably because he parodies himself in them.

Crank is massively underrated.
People generally don't understand the quality it has that very few movies have - it understood the assignment, and achieved it perfectly. It sets up the plot in literally the opening 30 seconds, and then it's just action until the credits roll. No subplots, no introspection, no character depth, no subtext, just a great excuse for crazy bullshit sprinkled with relevant comedy where appropriate.
Crank is actually a masterpiece, precisely because it doesn't try to be something it's not. It amazes me how few people understand this.
Crank 2 is enjoyable but ultimately it's a flawed clone that does the only thing it could even try to do. I still hold out hope for a third installment where he becomes a literal fucking demon.

Jason Statham is one of the action stars of all time. There is no question.

If they thought they could make profit from it, Crank 3 is so easy to make it hurts. Here's my quick explainer for all the zero people who care:
>Crank 1 he's poisoned, he WILL die, the only way to prolong life is high heart rate, so he keeps going to live long enough to get revenge.
>Crank 2 gets funky - he has some weird busted pacemaker thing (from memory, experimental robot heart but they never got a battery to work) so he has to keep charging it by electrocuting himself. Hijinks ensue, until he gets his revenge. He effectively burns to death.
>Crank 3, double-down on the absurdity but keep it about revenge. He goes to hell, where a demon makes a deal with him - he likes his style, so he'll send him back to get his revenge, but he's fickle. Keep him entertained with ever-increasing acts of ultra-violence, or he'll get bored and claim his soul.
>As he gets bored, he starts adding things to entertain himself and make violence easier - make him stronger, give him fire breath, just demon stuff.
>By the end JS is enjoying it a little too much, and is just wreaking havoc everywhere, things getting really out of hand. There's a few different ways to end it from there, but people will only really care about the carnage.
